So countdown till Giant Zero Two fanart floods the internet... This is what happens when a show wants to say a ton, but all you care about are two characters. Which is two more than a lot of shows admittedly.

You know who shows borderline porn a lot?

Humor like this which thrives on being off beat really works best in small increments, 30 second spots, or 1 minute skits. Too long and you get Tim and Eric Awesome Show, as opposed to Tim and Eric’s usually very funny short and ad work. It’s too much.

The thing is I’ve never seen her repulsed by men, or completely disinterested for gags the way Luffy is. Maybe I’m wrong but as far as I can recall she shows appreciation for both even if she fervently denies it for women.

It’s a trip. Just keep that in mind.

I feel like it’s gonna have the Tim and Eric effect. A part of the audience will fervently, ANGIRLY hate it. A part of the audience will find it funny in small doses, but will check out midway or not be consistent. A part of the audience will be hardcore defenders of the show and go all in on haters. (Remember when Tim and Eric fans had their own board on the ASMB? They had the strictest anti-complaint rules and out and out had a thread to shame critics called the Dunn-geon.) The question is how many people fill categories 2 and 3.

Yes, but does it sell? I’m aware of those shirts (quickest way to cause cringing in public, an adult male wearing that Steven shirt) but the plushies and crap are news to me.

Wasn’t that a plot in Bebop, the con artist who took Faye for a ride got a fat injection so he wouldn’t be recognized? Also the SJW’s are a disease but a lot of high profile SJW flops are making me hope their influence is set to wane.

The former are patterns learned through observations of bars. The latter is me trying to be funny, but usually yeah, how many times do you go to a bar and hear someone ask to change the channel to put on a game? There’s one exception, this burger place that serves artisan burgers but will air, not kidding, Boomerang, on its TV’s, which I’m willing to bet is done to add to the hipster atmosphere.

That’s a bloody shame, but I think it’s also proof that those rumors of it coming back were bunk. Well that’s a high performing Sayain I tell you whut.

The average bar usually shows one of two things on an “off” week. Sports highlights, and local news, although the Irish bar by me would show SNL at that hour. Pop Team Epic, or anime in general? There’d be immediate heckling to “get that weeb shit off the TV!” “Put on baseball!” Etc.

No bar is gonna show Pop Team Epic. That’s a fact.

That’s something else. I don’t think I’ve see any SU merchandise outside of Fan made crap which is either porn or feminist messages. Ever.

Voltron was never meant to be that. The fujoshi that keep trying to turn it into that pretty much want to ruin the show. But yeah, it’s adults obsessing over shows like this (and going REEEEE when characters are straight), shows like Steven Universe, and their merch sales are proof that these people should be ignored and shunned.
