Preview video is up, and the usual hate that has followed CR originals is present, from the usual calls of "Absolutely no one cares" to the ever popular pig shitting photo that everyone loves to spam with.
DC and Toonami have always had a strong relationship and Quinn isn’t a low effort bean mouth production. It’s comedic but it has enough action to qualify as an action/comedy.
Also remember, this block aired Pop Team Epic.
Because I really wanted God of High School to hold me over between the next Kengan Ashura season, but it was too quickly paced and really tonally confused. It was weird.
Maybe I should blame Webtoon.
At this point, people know what they want. If they want to see wacky anti heroes mowed down, The Suicide Squad -
If they want anime, they have to wait a week.
I find it funny after a very uninspired Voltron parody, they use the same robot in a proper anime short and the end result is infinitely weirder, but visually about a thousand times more interesting.
I say go for it and laugh all the live long day about it. It actually makes a lot of sense that he’s a stereotypical pervert to the point of utter obnoxiousness if he swings both ways and wants to distract from those urges (and his urges about female company are genuinely sincere so it isn’t like he’s lying about liking the ladies). It’s also the sort of inadvertent satire I live for where characters people find hot are made gay by the fandom for female fantasies. Making grape boy bisexual is perfectly valid and puts those biases right in the mirror.
I think The Suicide Squad is going to be the last DC movie out for a while.
I’m pretty sure we’re going to see this or some animated movies air again when The Batman comes out though.

Chronic depression fucking sucks. Fuck, depression and anxiety suck. Especially in societies where mental health is often ignored or stigmatized.

Pika.
I’m not sure how to respond to this, so here’s a dancing Pikachu.
I’m not surprised they’re all non-canon stories, but I really wanted someone to finally animate the final duel between Boba Fett and Cad Bane. All we have is the incomplete animatic.
