  1. I heard. To be fair, California isn’t exactly lacking for day gig actors. I have no doubt people are going to get fired, and that they will likely be compensated very well by their contracts and in high demand. Musk’s fun now will be financial pain come spring.
  2. Considering the severances, I think they’ll be alright. Probably won’t be able to get a job recommendation though.
  3. I’m genuinely curious if they plan to actually point out to the public how the sacred algorithm works. Burn the whole goddamn thing down. Show everyone how the outrage sausage gets made.
  4. The Mouse keeping Bleach away from Warner makes a lot of sense from that angle. The problem is less “what money?” (Although that’s a huge problem) and more “Who wants to work with us?”
  5. Teaser, but again, no distributor.
  6. You can’t negotiate with a brick wall that wants to kill you. That’s what talking to Putin is.
  7. It’s only bad if they disagree with what’s being said. Otherwise whatever.
  8. A set release date, but still no word on who is distributing it. Given Helluva Boss episodes have been freely distributed on YouTube one would gather that getting A24 means it’s Netflix or Amazon bound. I’m presuming Netflix given they have a working relationship with A24.
  9. That one was apparently on the production company. Netflix is maddeningly inconsistent. For every Baki or Bastard there’s some garbage Polygon production. Hell, their Godzilla entries are both complete garbage (The Polygon trilogy) and a very good if admittedly very dense story (Singular Point). Here’s hoping with all their alleged refinements this gets fixed soon.
  10. Congratulations to everyone on this board who has Twitter stock. Go get yourselves a nice steak for lunch. Condolences for everyone working for Twitter. Things sound like they’re about to go sideways.
  11. https://www.cartoonbrew.com/anime/netflix-anime-japan-series-production-222469.html?utm_source=ActiveCampaign&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Don+t+miss+the+latest+from+Cartoon+Brew%3A++RSS%3AITEM%3ATITLE&utm_campaign=Tuesday+Newsletter+(Free) This is big is true given Netflix’s own investments. Maybe they can finally switch to weekly releases. Broadcast releases outside of Japan though (and even there) are becoming less of an option as cord cutting accelerates and no one wants to do things on other peoples time.
  12. Looking it over, MHA S5 sounds like Crunchyroll finally was able to exercise an option to keep new episodes out of Toonami. Speaking of, between Crunchyroll releasing the animated movies, and Netflix gearing up for its LA Game of Thrones level adaptation, I’m wondering if they’re trying to get it off Toonami.
  13. Cyberpunk 2077. Yeah, I got it because of Edgerunners. But on a PS5, with two years worth of patches, I’m having fun. Probably due for more upgrades after this mission admittedly.
  14. "Murder He Wrote." It was actually pretty funny.
  15. DeMarco sounds like he’s at the end of his rope and this is how he deals with it.
  16. Pulling the cash out at the sale price is usually the wisest choice, especially here where it’s clear most of the management is happy to dump this on Musk.
  17. Another one lost to Crunchyroll. Which is a damn dirty shame.
  18. Not like he had much of a choice.
  19. If that class action is any indication, Warner straight up lied or otherwise exaggerated about their assets.
  20. https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/ukraine-crisis-russia-base/?utm_source=reddit.com Ukrained captured a base filled with documents on the Russian war effort that’s probably the most comprehensive internal look at the war machine to date.
