Under 700k for a debut. Tsk tsk. Is anyone surprised though? No one wanted this show. Making Super a premiere might work out well for the block if Super can go back to getting over 1 mil a night. Kai has really turned from ratings champ to ratings chump. 77 percent?? But it's good news for Jojo... with the massive failures of Kai and Black Clover before it... Jojo is looking good with 90 percent retention! No more mocking Jojo for soiling itself.

MHA wasn't chosen to air on Toonami because they couldn't get MHA. Otherwise, they'd be airing MHA instead of this. When you decide to air an anime that had its manga voted worst of the year.... that is something people are going to complain about. It's not really spoofing anything, just flat out copying. That's why so many people turned on it in a hurry. Also, it takes three 20 minute episodes to get to what happens in the second chapter of the Manga. Episode 2 and 3 are almost all filler. It's constantly referred to as having the worst pacing of any modern Shonen. Much like TG, even fans of the Manga are generally unhappy with the anime.

Except it isn't by the original author. Toriyama has little to do with the writing beyond some concepts and art.

I'm still depressed the funimation channel got replaced by TOKU which shows nothing but Media Blasters Trash. This and Holy Knight were two of the anime on the new TOKU channel.

Don't forget One Piece and Blue Exorcist... Pirate King and Paladin. Also as Fry once said... It's CLOVERING TIME. This isn't so much an anime as it is a series of tropes that became sentient and merged with each other to create the blandest shonen ever. Are they seriously airing this? Is this really happening? It's rated lower on CRoll than School days.. In another World with my Smartphone....Keijo..... The Asterisk War..... GXP.... At this point I'm not even mad at you Toonami, just very disappointed =P

This current season is... weak. Black Clover is probably the second most popular anime, that should tell you something. S3 of Foodwars is out.. but if you haven't seen the first two you probably don't want to watch that. Kings Game is terrible but already has a dub and is at least entertaining. I've heard good things about Juuni Taisen but haven't checked it out. The only must see anime of the season is The Ancient Magus Bride.
