The man says no Ecchi or Harem so 90 percent of anime is off the table. Given that they like to show stuff similar to the stuff they've shown before.... and given its popularity in Japan AND a brand new English Dub....... I think Kabaneri is the new front runner.

Yeah I enjoyed the eps after 25 but I'll admit it wasn't as good. Steins's Gate and Madoka, make her watch!

Dropping that non Toonami premiere probably helped Super a bit but I think something else might be going on. All the hype and memes around the latest subbed episodes may be getting people to start tuning in for the dub. Even ultra instinct Shaggy has over a million views.

The Mal rankings are pretty bad .....Ranked #5107 Popularity #476 According to Mal it's worse than Dimension W, but better than School days.

Finally got around to watching this ep.... It was not good. Not even for filler.

To be fair, the last two Kai marathons both beat their regular schedule.

After giving it considerable thought I have come to a conclusion based on the given evidence... He dumb.

Well given Toonami's track record... it won't be something that's good. So Mob Psycho and Abyss are out of the question. They try to get stuff with loads of name recognition.. so Blood Blockade probably won't be happening. They don't like to air anything with boobs.. so no Ecchi stuff. Maybe they'll get good and suddenly surprise us with GATE or Tanya the Evil? But honestly, my money is on a rerun of Champioo or an equally stupid decision. I honestly have no idea. After Black Clover I'm not going to put anything past these idiots. Ok my final legit and totally wrong guesses will be ..... Assassination Classroom, Charlotte, and Overlord.

It's better than TG, but so is everything. I'd even go so far as to say it's more watchable than any of the Gundam's we've had on Toonami. There's nothing really bad about it aside from the pacing and early filler, it's just completely unoriginal and the anime community just has zero appetite for an utterly generic Shonen after watching thousands of episodes of Bleach/DBZ/Naruto/OnePiece/Blue Exorcist/Inuyasha/MHA/Fairytail. If this had come out in the 2000's, it would probably have been a huge hit.

So you're saying S1 Family Guy should be way higher than Dub premiere Super instead of just slightly higher? I mean Super usually only retains 76-80 percent of Family Guy. No one said ONLY Toonami is losing viewers. The rest of cable hasn't suffered a massive drop off like Toonami though. Toonami's saving grace right now is that Cartoon Network is doing horribly, so Toonami looks good by comparison. So people should feel free to worry about the ratings. They're probably safe if they hold where they are now, but if they continue the severe downward trend of the last year, I have a feeling they're gone.

A 20 year old episode of Family guy only rating slightly higher than one episode of Super means that cable did lose 50 percent of its viewers? What was your point here? What were Rick and Morty's ratings again?

It's an entire thread about ratings. When the ratings are bad, this is something people are going to talk about. Some people don't seem to like the bad news each week. To that all I can say is... come back when there's good news?

Saying "don't worry about the ratings" would fly.... if we weren't watching a block that's been cancelled for low ratings. Wasn't One Piece just cancelled for its low ratings? Bad ratings = less money. Less money = less dough to shell out for new shows. The new shows that Toonami actually has to compete with Netflix for. Without tons of cash, you're stuck with TG/ Reruns/ Black Clover. The main problem here is that at a time when Toonami needs to be getting better in order to remain competitive... it's getting worse. Way worse. Cable didn't lose 50 percent of its viewers in a year, Toonami did. It's a horribly run block of TV that seems to cater to the somewhat antiquated tastes of the Toonami crew rather than what viewers might actually like. It's like a guy who opens a restaurant and then makes weird food that only he and his family enjoy.

Black Clover is soooooo fetch! But yeah, they've been pushing this shitty show HARD everywhere. Ass kissing articles on Croll about the series despite its hilariously bad ratings on Croll. They even wrote an entire article on "How to make the cupcakes from Black Clover IRL." I suspect Toonami airing it was part of their marketing ploy to achieve full media saturation.
