To be fair though, Batman is a ridiculous character with ridiculous plot armor. You can't dodge automatic weapon fire just because you're fast. And his enemies are constantly letting him live so they can put him in creative death traps. In MHA 80 percent of the population has superpowers. Anyone without powers is going to get mangled trying to be a hero unless they go the Ironman route. After seeing where the author went with the series, I'm pretty sure he made the right choice.

Why are Zombies called Walkers? It's more fun to change it up, and it puts your own stamp on things. If someone talks about quirks you instantly know what anime they're talking about.

Kabaneri is a decent anime, I've mentioned it before as a possible Toonami show. It was more popular in Japan than Re Zero in 2016, while Re Zero dominated every other country on Earth. Great action and artwork. But the plot falls apart in the second half and the characters other than Mumei.... just aren't memorable. And yes it is regarded as an inferior AOT knockoff. Even so I'd take it over most of the stuff we currently have on Toonami in a heartbeat. To caution you on this one.. it's ranked worse than DW on Mal. 2392. But 131 in popularity.

Not really a plothole but a huge mcguffin that lets them reverse anything that happens. Makes it hard for the bad guys to win, but not impossible. If Kid Buu had known about New Namek and blown it up, then he could have won. But the main problem is it cheapens every death in the series.

God this felt like a shitty filler ep. Never watched this entire arc before, only the highlights... and man does it suck. Oh well.... we're under 50 episodes to making DB great again!

Izuku's nickname, "Deku", was given to him by Katsuki when they were little. "Deku" is another reading of his name 出久, and Bakugou uses it to mock Izuku, as "Deku" can mean "the one who can't achieve/do anything". Later, Ochako finds the nickname very inspiring because "Deku" gives off a feeling of "I can do it".

Yup this is a solid anime so far.

As I said in another thread, wait until episode 2. If you don't like episode 2 you're probably not gonna like anything this show has to offer.

What? No it isn't. Other than having people with superpowers they're not in the slightest bit similar. Compare it to BC or some other Shonen =P

Ok so after 2 weeks a new episode! 02 got domesticated. Another talk heavy/emotional episode that totally killed all the momentum from the last ep. Couple of interesting plot developments regarding the health of the parasites. New hybrid character introduced? My new ending for this show.... I'm gonna say Hiro and 02 die... everyone else lives. Instead of everyone dies like I thought before.

One of the highlights from that is "One of the key selling points of Black Clover tends to be the short, concise story arcs. Yuki Tabata wastes no time throwing the ragtag Black Bulls through a number of trials and tribulations, while expanding on a world still so shrouded in mystery." A world shrouded in mystery is the nicest way I've ever seen of saying "lack of world building." And remember filler is bonus content. On another note do we still have no idea what the "confusing" anime is that Toonami is getting? I'm dying to know what they consider confusing because in a way... aren't 90 percent of anime a little confusing?

Look you're just kind of going to have to accept that when stuff airs on Toonami that isn't very good, the tide is going to turn against it pretty heavily and no one is going to be very nice to it. Except Owl and Poke probably. It would kind of be like going to a Star Wars convention and giving a speech about why the Phantom Menace is the best Star Wars movie ever made. Sure it's an opinion, and you're allowed to have your own opinion. But it's a really bad opinion. People are going to think it's ridiculous to say that and the reaction isn't going to be very positive. If you're looking for resonance.. I do know a guy who can resonate with anyone....

FG has been rerun a billion times and the show has been on for 20 years almost. It's gonna run out of steam eventually.

Not only is it not written by the original author... it has none of the original characters. It's SAO in name only and it's still successful. Kind of reminds me of the old Dragonlance books when they got farmed out to a hundred different authors of varying abilities. Anyone memba those?

To be fair, you did walk into a Mochi thread. A thread Mochi made about Black Clover. You knew what this was. It also seems like you enjoy a lot of anime that are critically despised. Which is fine, but when you like anime that are critically despised, you're going to have to deal with the fact that a lot of people aren't going to like it and are going to be pretty vocal about it. Especially if it's taking up a slot on the Toonami roster and getting bad ratings. If you just want to hear nice things about BC there's tons of people who actually do like BC. I'm sure there's fan forums that only have to contend with a troll now and then.

Well Gundam certainly sucked it for the last episode. Dominated by BC.. ouch.

Well there are a couple of things working against it. It's a couple years old, it's not getting more than 1 weeks promotion, and it's airing third after Kai. It's also such a big anime that almost everyone has seen it in the last 2 years.
