Well, in the case of Teen Titans, their art went from this [disclaimer, it's from Deviant Art but is true to the general art of the original and shows everyone] : To this : The characters were also turned into caricatures of themselves for the new series in order to really bring in those SpongeBob numbers. Looney Tunes reboots were about the same. The characters were streamlined a bit, made simpler and instead of merry shorts, they had things like Bugs and Daffy as housemates for the main long term comedy storyline and every one lived in the suburbs. I think they did go back to a shorts format after a couple of seasons of that but the damage was done. I'm not saying it could be 100% awful per se, just that I'm not getting my hopes up. There's too many ways to lose the original.

We're talking about newly made episodes of Animaniacs which is a series that has been done. Previous attempts at bringing back older WB cartoons such as Looney Tunes failed because what made them fun before was lost in the quest to be all new and hip and edgy with the franchise. So I'm guessing, based on treatments of other shows, that any of the 'hidden' jokes and clever word plays that made them entertaining to watch from both a child's and an adult's point of view will end up sanitized. They might even decided to chibi and retard the entire cast like what was done with 'Teen Titans' .

Sadly, I'm kinda thinking this as well. Too many of the Warner Brothers reboot series end up sucking hardcore.

Disney should probably have a better exit plan for their younger cast members rather than their current 'Oops, you're too old for the pedo audience now so there's the door.'
