  1. You really need to cool it with this pro-Vegeta stance. With the TV anime ending this month, I have a feeling that this will be an original DBS work. Others have suggested that it might recap one of Super's anime-original arcs, but that would seem rather disappointing for that and it being the milestone 20th (Dragon Ball Z + Super) movie in general.
  2. I'm not the kind of person who usually has this opinion, but if Toonami does air something for their anniversary on such short notice, they deserve the shitty ratings. The block just isn't being run well right now, and this isn't a good look for them when FLCL 2 is coming soon plus some potentially attention-grabbing shows. At least it's very unlikely their ratings would tank as a result of that... I think.
  3. Adding on to the "they haven't aired a Super topical yet" angle... they still haven't, if this generic promo on the BookFace is to be determined. At this point, I'm at a loss as to what's happening. It would be stupid for them to preempt the 3/17 schedule on such short notice so they can air something special; pretty much anything they could air as an anniversary celebration would also work for April Fool's. And I can't see them preempting the schedule on both days. If they don't do something for the latter, the Sunday night schedule is set up so that nothing would be missed. There's no other logical reason for Mike Tyson Mysteries to be preempted (unless they've decided to do so for Easter), and it's the week before Ballmastrz: 9009 premieres. This doesn't really have much to do with the new show, since I guess we've decided it'll premiere on 4/7, but yeah... I'm just not sure.
  4. This is something of the point I want to make, actually. Back then, the block wasn't big enough to make announcing shows beyond a week before their premiere a real concern, but that changed with time. And for a pretty long time, it's been normal that Toonami announces a show several weeks in advance, especially when they were really active on the Tumblr. Most shows announced that way would see it happen a month or so before the premiere, but it's slowly degenerated over time. It got to the point where Hunter × Hunter was announced just fifteen days before airing, and it happened again with Black Clover. I hope we're not going back to the former standard, because I do like to see what's coming
  5. Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. But if they really are planning something else, that just makes this rub off as poor planning. This is giving me shades of when it took just ten days before the Bebop rerun was announced, but we all thought they were bringing in an emergency premiere to fix the "awful" ratings. Come on, DeMarco... poor communication kills.
  6. At this point, I've signed on to Brian's theory that they'll double up on Bebop, and then not air a new show the next week to accommodate April Fool's. Unless they're somehow crazy enough to premiere a show less than two weeks out (the lack of promotion would be concerning), I don't see how it could air on the 24th.
  7. Actually, I was thinking at 8:00 p.m. on 4/1.
  8. Maybe it's just coincidental for Easter, but I was wondering if maybe this year's gag would also affect the comedy. If they do a stealth premiere of FLCL 2 in any capacity, having it air in PT on the 1st would be a nice way for Toonami to get back at last year's gag.
  9. Wow, modern online humor is even more baroque than I realized...

  11. Okay, so I probably should've posted my Switch friend code by now. It's SW-4008-5544-5904. And my Nintendo Network ID is Blatch0, if you need that for anything.
  12. I at least know what 1337 (l33t itself) means. Neopets sort of exposed me to that stuff, or at least which letters correspond to numbers.
  13. At 3ngag3's request, here is a new version of the thread that displays the episode number. And speaking of him, I just realized what that username is supposed to represent. I wonder why I thought it to be gibberish for so long?
  14. Yeah, this wasn't even close. I do appreciate your futile effort, though.
  15. I don't know, but should I just do all the JoJo's threads from now on? That's how it is for Meilag and the Dragon Ball shows. I guess it was just some unwritten rule we decided to follow one day. Hooray to him, and hopefully me.
  16. So that show doesn't advance? Yeesh, it sounds kind of rough. With how the progression is going, Outlaw Star #21 through #25 should be on the stream Monday, although it would be awkward for them to be not able to air the final episode, and even moreso considering that the delayed weekend repeat no longer exists.
  17. That is the one. I don't know why you'd be confused, but either way, it's cool.
  18. Yeah, I did hear about what Sarah Williams is planning. We'll just have to wait and see.
  19. So it's now Friday night and we still have no info on Outlaw Star's replacement, fifteen days out. That's the same amount of time it took for Black Clover to be announced, which is the shortest for any premiere. What's taking them this long? Are they really trying to fast-track the intended Lupin replacement, only for it to take longer than usual? And could Re:Zero actually be it? I'm at my wits end. At this point, maybe they're not planning to replace OS with anything, and it'll just be a half-hour downsizing for the block. I was expecting this to happen at some point in the year, but not this early.
  20. Yeah, I don't think anyone honestly believes it's a new game. And the Switch has had so many Wii U ports that they'd be better off doing that for the game that's already awesome.
  21. And it'll have the Inklings. Top kek, Nintendo. Splatoon 2 is also getting its own elaborate expansion as paid DLC plus a new general major update, but I assume you don't care about that as much.

  23. Nobody should be fearful of this regarding our Toonami. It still has new content planned to air through 2021. Maybe you should proofread your posts before you send them. I never heard much about Toonami Asia, but honestly, it's hard for me to accept than any version of Toonami other than the O.G. could build an audience when exported overseas. You don't have the nostalgia factor that keeps some people tuning in even to this day... everyone would rather play ball with the streaming services. Also, I never hard much about these foreign versions of the block to begin with. This one apparently had a unique block host named Nami, but I never heard anything about them. I guess it never had much unique block content created for it in general, which is arguably half the point of Toonami to begin with.
