  1. Okay, two things: It looks like the backdoor schedule is officially finally dead. The XML links no longer work, so the "enhanced backdoor" just shows the current list from [as]. You can still look ahead with cable guides, though, so this just means we're back to the dark ages of 2012-14 or so. Reruns of Adventure Time are replacing Samurai Jack (and a half-hour of [as] originals) starting February 4. This isn't a bamboozle; DeMarco personally confirmed it.
  2. Or you can stand up for what you believe in and not mind losing a friend or two. I've started ignoring people for less.
  3. Dragon Ball Super: Broly
  4. Hazukari. I originally followed him because he was in a circle of popular anime people, but the others disowned him quickly after allegations started to spread.
  5. Related to this, has anyone else seen that trends related to K-pop show up in the trending bar ridiculously often? I guess it's really popular here, to the point of getting huge displays in my local comic book stores and such. But my main point is, how have they managed to game the system so they can show up in the top 10 constantly? That was happening with Toonami for a while and then abruptly stopped, which might be due to an algorithm change.
  6. Actually, it's more because a prominent member of Twitter's anime community got outed as a hideous rapist and overall creep, which caused some people to question everyone in their atmosphere. I followed the guy, and I was crestfallen to see it unfold in real time.
  7. Futaba's Family Twins 6 to 9 The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls U149 0 to 3
  8. This is reminding me of what the block turned into in 2015: fewer hours, almost no reruns, and a new season of Sword Art in the middle. But this time, the fandom is more toxic.
  9. Oh, and the block is losing another hour next month. It's a good thing we had a replacement for Mob announced before this bit broke.
  10. Thankfully, I'm two years removed from being able to get mad at this.
  11. Is it any worse than the time we all argued about Star Wars?
  12. Toonami establishing a presence on VRV would be a good long-term goal to achieve, and I'd be completely in favor of it. There's a good number of shows they can be the exclusive streaming for, as well as even all the TOM-centric goodies like speeches and game reviews the block has done over the years.
  13. And suddenly, it's day again. I never really cared about the marathon stream and I didn't know why anyone would rely on it to watch shows, but I guess I'm... forced to be sad that it's over? Sounds good.
  14. Futaba's Family Twins 1 to 5 [let's dig another one]
  15. I decided to not bother with making threads until I can get caught up on any Toonami shows. Congratulations on your accomplishment.
  16. My local AMC theatre actually has screenings of this, so I'll have to go over there and buy a ticket. It's the first time I've heard of them showing an anime movie.
  17. Did you miss the thread about the S2 simuldub? Also, I was being facetious about Fairy Tail, but I think the chances of it airing are slightly higher than people think. With Toonami getting close to losing several long-running shonen, they might grab whatever else is available with hundreds up episodes to fill a gap.
  18. Mob Psycho will move on to S2, but Megalobox will be replaced by nothing and the block will shrink. We get nothing new for the next three months to half a year until Toonami unexpectedly acquires SAO: Gun Gale Alternative as an apology for that one time. Oh, and Fairy Tail (from the first episode) replaces GGO.
  19. Grave of the Fireflies
  20. Wow, that's a solid gain for Mob Psycho. I hope they can take advantage of this by airing the second season right away. In other words, this new schedule is definitely working.
  21. Oops. Somebody really neglected this show... but their loss isn't as bad as mine, as I need to watch past the second episode already.
  22. I might tune in just for the sakuga episode when it airs in a few months. Expect competition for that thread in particular.
  23. Cool stuff. I ended up zoning out on the trending game after the guy who makes those posts for Toonami Faithful blocked me for joking about SAO, so it's nice to see that old habits don't die hard. I could complain about this being useless fluff, but really, making content ratings images for various shows is an even more pointless hobby. Also, this makes more sense than still tracking the Nielsen ratings.
  24. LOL. The true power move is for Toonami to actually air Shield Hero, because the controversy will obviously make it do well.
  25. With OP still shitting out money (in Japan) like no one's business, I'd be more surprised if the higher-ups aren't pressing him to keep it going. It's only a negative if you want Oda to ever work on something else.
