Well I was hoping the livestream they ran last Saturday with the Boruto announcement would be added to Adult Swim's streaming archives as a Pre-Flight episode, but it's not on there still. SO maybe it's a case of "catch it live or ..... fffffffffck yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...."

Adult Swim may have thought it was an innocent nod to a popular trend, much like how Coca-Cola branding is seen in Tiger and Bunny, and other examples that have been very common in anime nowadays. But unlike Coca-Cola, the cat headphones are patented under one artist who is very active and out-spoken in the anime community, and that spelled trouble. The article then goes on to say that Adult Swim heard her stance, and the headphones will now be credited to her at the end of each episode in future copies of the show.

Black Clover has 51 episodes, which is bullhonkey because you know they'll just greenlight more very soon. How many episodes will SSSS Gridman have? It is very likely it will be shorter, which means it will be a poor replacement for Black Clover.

FLCL 2 has all the trappings of a standard Hollywood movie sequel: very few major original ideas in favor of the exact same tone, elements, themes, plot, characters, acting, soundtrack, animation/action, and marketable elements as the first movie. I can say that FLCL 2 surprised me by being more faithful to the original than I expected, and because i loved that about the OVA, i loved that about FLCL 2, but it doesn't excuse the shortcomings, such as the animation downgrade.

Dandy seems more polarizing now than when it premiered. Jacob Chapman even wrote a whole article about how the directors now regret making it, which is heartbreaking.

My argument is, if it looks like a Western cartoon, which in many ways it does, why would anyone hate One Piece but not Looney Tunes? Maybe they're more talking about how it moves, which is very poorly.

It's weird: AoT has all the ingredients for a hit on Toonami, but Season 2 just CRAPPED the bed when it aired! Almost as if anime fans were louder than even in this particular case that they would rather watch the sub anywhere else. And AoT Season 1 reruns were one of the big reasons Toonami's length was cut in half (though rerunning it at the front of the block wasn't a good idea anyway). I was even hesitant to think of the possibility Toonami would get Season 3 for that reason. They will air AoT Season 3 after DB Super. I mean it's newer than My Hero Academia's early episodes by over two years, so it's more in-demand and fresher.

I predict this thread won't continue anytime soon if it gets impossible to know how a show is doing through an old ratings system that doesn't take non-cable info into account. OR we just retitle the thread. It's clear. Even in this past month, more and more people continue to cut the cord.

I mean I still think this is the most gripping and frightening arc of the anime, but there are definitely parts where it just draaaags. Togashi really likes his game strategies. Like Kubo and fashion design, I often wonder if he should've been writing role-play gaming manuals.
