  1. Realllyyyyy interested to see what comes from this raid. Its completely unprecedented, but so is everything around this cluster fuck.
  2. I mean, good luck I guess. Dude never had any legitimacy and yet he still pulled in millions. These decisions probably wont change that. They may change just how crazy he is with some topics, but he isnt going away. Theres a ton of demand out there for stupid.
  3. That seems like a lot, but before anyone gets excited we have to see if thats what it actually winds up being. A lot of states have limits on the amount of damages you can receive in suits like this. This happened in the Johnny Depp-Amber Herd trial. There was a limit to the amount she is actually liable for. Hes going to have to pay a lot, but it might not be that full amount.
  4. There are plenty of liberal cranks who think that Bush stole 2000, Bush caused 9/11, and the ultimate crank of Bushed caused Katrina because he hates black people. More recently, the "pee tape" cranks still exist as well. Plus other anti-Trump crank stuff that really doesnt need to happen considering all the real crap he gave us. The MAGA and Q crankery is just the most vocal and most recent, but there are plenty of examples of cranks to go around. Not trying to excuse any of it, because its all insane. Just pointing out that when you step back for a second and really look at things youll see theres a ton of crankery to go around.
  5. What do you mean? Because there are cranks across the political spectrum that operate outside of what you would call mainstream positions. Alex Jones is one of those cranks.
  6. From gay frogs to $4.1 Million in damages. Life comes at you fast.
  7. I hope so, I really really do. That scumbag needs to be suspended for a very long time.
  8. Suddenly he isnt thinking gay frogs are the worst thing to be dealing with.
  9. So PFT is saying this: I get what you are saying, but apparently when the judge concluded that he broke policy in 3 ways that gave Goodell all the excuse he needs to basically enact whatever punishment he wants. Theyve got other tweets saying that if Goodell is trying to do something its to get the max suspension and then decide where to go from there. I probably shouldnt get my hopes up that the NFL may actually do the right thing, but Im gonna do it anyways. I just cant believe that they would appeal an already weak suspension so they could make it even weaker.
  10. I guess im an eternal optimist here. Im also thinking about the pure shit storm that would hit the NFL if they wind up lowering this suspension. I know the NFL is basically untouchable, but this is a whole other level of problem for them if they screw this up. He should be suspended at least a year and 6 games is a joke. The public outcry after that was announced has had to have created immense pressure on the NFL to change something. They wont change their abuse policy, oh no, cant do that, it would risk far too many of their players being suspended. But they can make a token gesture by publicly flogging the most famous abuser in the NFL right now. Ill be an optimist and say he gets a full year, the NFLPA appeals, and he gets like 12 games.
  11. Sooooo theres a chance this may not be horrible. I went to Twitter (yea, I know) and some of the NFL insiders are saying that the NFL may be doing this to actually increase the punishment. Because the judge found multiple violations of NFL policy Goodell may be trying to increase the suspension. Or the NFL is an even bigger joke than thought and they will fuck this up to a degree that there is no coming back from. If Goodell lowers the suspension theres no coming back from that.
  12. "Put it to a vote! Wait, no! not like that! NO! STOP THE COUNT!"
  13. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/elections/live_results/august_2nd_election_results.html?title=arizona-gop-senate-primary&id=12826_S Masters is going to be the GOP nom for Senate. Sure looks like bat shit crazy is going to win. Lake is the complete wacko I posted earlier in this thread saying that 2020 was stolen. I am going to update my prediction for November now as well. With batshit crazy being the nominee in both PA and AZ, I think Democrats hold the Senate. I dont care how favorable the national environment is this year, the GOP is nominating some truly awful candidates. I still think the GOP take the house, but they sure are doing everything possible to blow an easy win this November.
  14. The NFL views tampering with other teams worse than tampering with women. (Im going to be calling out this crap all year)
  15. The Kansas vote shows how the GOP seem intent on walking into a trap they can easily avoid. The vast majority of Americans support abortion rights up to a point, usually in the 20-22 week range. The Kansas law happens to land exactly there. So it really shouldnt be that much of a surprise that the vote ended up this way, even in a Red state. Pushing outright and total bans is not popular, and is going to be an electoral loser for the GOP. Rather than reading the room and pushing for popular regulations at the 20-22 week mark the GOP seem intent on pulling a Leroy Jenkins on the issue.
  16. Considering they were openly rooting for Trump back in 2016.........
  17. I think we talked about this in the insurrection thread. The Dems are saying that MAGA is an existential threat to the nation while at the same time funding the most crazy MAGA candidates they can find. Its absolutely going to backfire in a lot of places this year.
  18. Big primary night for the GOP. Arizona is critical for the GOP if they want to take back the Senate this year. Tonight could go a long way to either securing a win or throwing it away. There are candidates for both Gov and Senate that are bat shit insane. If the GOP nominates them, Arizona stays Blue. If they dont go with the bat shit insane options then Arizona is a real pickup opportunity for the GOP. Im betting on bat shit crazy and Dems holding both seats.
  19. I mostly disagree. Not on the decrepit ghoul stuff, you wont ever hear me argue against that. I do think she needed to go though. Once she announced her intentions to go, she had to follow through. If we backed down now then China would become even more aggressive. China is the number 1 geopolitical threat we, and the entire free world, face. Russia makes noise, but China is the real threat. You cant back down now. We saw what they did to Hong Kong, and the world collectively shrugged. China wants to do the same thing to Taiwan. We cant let that happen for numerous reasons. Her plane just landed.
  20. Cant tell if sarcastic or not. Im not sarcastic, this is good on Pelosi. I freaking hate her, but have to give her major props for doing this.
  21. This is the plane that Pelosi is on, local news in Taiwan has a live stream up of the airport expecting her to land at any time. You cant track on the flightradar website because it crashed when over 400k people were watching this flight. She's going.
  22. Well damn, thats a pretty big deal. Nice job getting this bastard.
  23. I feel like calling MTG a cunt is an insult to cunts. Shes an entirely different level of awful garbage.
  24. This is a really good point about whats going on. it feels like we get these kind of warnings every few weeks for activities that have been going on for decades. Hell, they issued a "warning" after the CHIPs act passed saying that us producing our own semiconductors was bad for the international order.
