Its so fun watching the media try and make it as if she is African-American when there are countless reports and articles talking about how her Indian roots are what define her. She always identified as Indian, right up until something more politically advantageous came up. Kinda like Elisabeth Warren and the whole Native American lie to get ahead. Its hilariously fake, and such an obvious gaslighting campaign that its just remarkable anyone falls for it.

Im not playing devils advocate at all on this. I am explicitly saying that it is not OK to have kids twerking at drag shows or putting money into drag queens thongs. This continued push to include kids in these sexualized activities is absolutely wrong. it is turning people who were allies into skeptics at best, and enemies at worst. We had won the war, and instead of taking the W and living life people kept pushing. And now we are at the point where states like California are writing laws to hide kids sexuality from their parents. At no point in history has an adult saying "Its ok, this can just be a secret between us" ever ended well. Its a massive blind spot on the left right now, either a wilful blind spot or an unknowing one. Either way going after kids like this is absolutely causing a blow back against many communities and it will cost votes. Ignore it all you want, but you do so risking Trumps 2nd term.

Swing voters and moderates. These are the people in suburbs and outlying areas who you have to carry to win an election. And kids twerking with drag queens is not a moderate position, at all. You can call them bigots and denigrate them all you want, but youll lose their vote and the election.

And when those kids are twerking with drag queens? You are not going to be able to make that argument with the kind of voters that Harris needs to win.

That kinda falls apart when you have Harris out at events with people who have kids in drag.

Some of the first real polling is coming out since the palace coup and its showing that a whole lot of nothing has really changed. The RCP averages for these states are more pro-Trump than this one poll is. This is also all before any sort of attack adds start to hit Harris, and they absolutely are going to do damage. Harris has a radically liberal record on a whole ton of key issues, and once people are exposed to her own words things will change. She is doing a great job of energizing the left wing base, but its going to come at the cost of independents. Theres already a ton of clips of her talking about abolishing the police, forced gun confiscation, increasing taxes, and a whole slew of other radical left wing positions being pulled up. Once those hit the airwaves things will shift, particularly in swing states. Her "record" of border czar is also going to get a ton of play in places like Arizona where immigration is the #1 issue right now. No amount of gaslighting by the media will make that go away. This really goes to a fundamental problem, and misconception with the switch. Trump is a known commodity, theres nothing that can happen at this point thats really going to shift his numbers. We have had 8 years of Trump, so theres nothing new to say. Harris on the other hand is an already highly unpopular person whos positions havent been widely exposed yet. Dropping Biden was the smart move for Democrats, but failing to have any sort of primary process at all is going to cost them. Even a scramble primary would expose the obvious weaknesses she has, but they got buried, and now it appears they are stuck with her.
