So just to be clear, your point is that its not the fault of the Secret Service for this failure. The Secret Service, who's primary function is to protect high profile political VIPs. But instead its Trumps fault for selecting the field to have his rally. Because if thats your point you may as well just say she deserved to be raped because of what she was wearing.

The failures from the Secret Service are so basic that its really starting to stretch credulity. This absolutely needs multiple investigations, and not ones led by the DOJ or Secret Services.

The head of the Secret Service is claiming that they didnt have people on the shooters roof because the roof was sloped and it would be too dangerous for them to be up there. Which is just total BS. The counter sniper who took out the shooter was on a roof that was more sloped than the shooters roof. This is moving past just a simple series of failures at this point.

I dunno. It seemed mixed to me. There were a few points that he was bood, but others where he got good cheers. Theres clearly some sections of the GOP that do not like unions, but theres other sections where their policies line up with Union desires.

Someone put a video together that stitches together multiple different videos from the assassination attempt. It gets loud, but the videos are crazy. Its clear that people saw this coming yet there was no reaction from security officials until it was too late.

Thats the Teamsters President at the RNC. Yea, you read that right. A Union President gave a keynote speech at the RNC. Apparently its the first time in the 121 year history of the RNC for this to happen. It also comes as reports are that the Teamsters is debating not endorsing any candidate for President this year. They have yet to be invited to the DNC, and the Teamsters President was on Fox earlier in the day saying that the JD Vance pick was great for working class, and union, families. That would be a pretty big deal, and further solidify the shift among the parties thats been going on for the last decade or so. The GOP is turning into the party of working class people, while Democrats are becoming the party of coastal elites. Its what makes Trump such a strong candidate in these working class states.

I fully expect the DoJ to appeal the case. It would go to the 11th circuit court, and likely further than that. I can see this one making its way to SCOTUS. The heart of what Cannon said was that because Jack Smith was never confirmed by the Senate, he has no authority to prosecute anyone. That cuts to the heart of a DOT Regulation that came about during the Obama years that allows the DOJ to appoint who it wants as a special council. The DOJ absolutely will want to appeal that decision.

The Classified Doc case has been thrown out. Judge Cannon is saying Jack Smith was not lawfully appointed, so he cannot bring charges against Trump. What an absolute bombshell to start an already news packed week.

Its pretty remarkable that an entire show is being pulled off the air because the network is worried that they may damage the network with inappropriate comments about the assassination attempt.

He was a registered republican who apparently donated to ActBlue and another progressive org, and org whos goal was to get progressives to register republican and vote against Trump in the primary. So its a little hard to say if he was actually a republican or not. He was registered as one, but his donations question that. Theres a lot of people who are registered Republican to vote against Trump in the primaries (Im one of them). His actual motives, if they are ever found and released, are going to be interesting. Occams Razor would say he was just an absolute lunatic. Remember the motives of Reagans and Lennons shooters were not political.

Its the false flag idea BlueAnanon is passing this around right now online. The shooter was actually a right-wing maniac who wanted to inspire a general uprising to take out liberals. Its some wild conspiracy theory stuff.

Now for Trump himself, and the campaign from here. Trump absolutely just locked up support for November. The GOP base, which already was more enthusiastic to vote in November, is now going to go into overdrive. His actions directly after the assassination attempt are going to go down in history. That photo is going to be in history books for a long time. Its also going to be used all over the place from now until November. The reaction of refusing to run and instead getting up and pumping his fist are really something else. This election had already been a bit of a referendum on overall health between Trump and Biden. Now Trump can say he was literally shot but got up fighting while Biden fights to just get up stairs. You are already seeing that kind of stuff being memed and passed around. This assassination attempt likely solidifies Trumps status as the frontrunner and favorite to win this race.

Second (im breaking these up now) I dont think people realize just how close we were to a 2nd civil war starting yesterday. This close Literally that close to a 2nd civil war starting. If Trump is assassinated tens of millions of heavily armed MAGA members would go on an absolute rampage looking for vengeance and payback. There would not be a safe place anywhere in this country for a Democratic politician. It would have absolutely been the start of a civil war. Wouldnt matter who the shooter is, or what any investigation found, MAGA would only see their hero dead and blame the Left for it. As it is, I absolutely expect some sort of retaliatory attack from MAGA. I dont necessarily think it will be aimed at a politician though. I think it will be aimed at the media. There has always been hate for the media on the Right, but the language in the last 20ish hours has shifted dramatically. MAGA is blaming the Media for creating the environment that led to someone trying to assassinate Trump. There has always been hate for the media on the Right, and really in the MAGA crowd. I would not be surprised, at all, if there are attacks on media members in the near future.

So we've started to learn more about what happened, and mannnnnn, I got stuff to say now. First off, How the F did the Secret Service mess this up this badly? That building is the only high-ground location with a clear sight line of where Trump was, and no one thought to guard it? Thats is beyond a fire-able offense for whomever was in charge yesterday. Not only did they not guard it in the first place, but apparently they were completely unprepared to respond to any threat from that building. Multiple people have come forward to say they watched the shooter climb the building, crawl to his spot, set up, and then shoot. They all were warning cops and authorities during this, and yet there was no response. Videos show that these accounts are all true. Theres also video of the counter snipers clearly having a line on the guy but waiting for him to shoot before doing anything about it. So how, how in the hell does that happen? Theres some crazy tinfoil hat stuff being passed around right now. I dont believe it, but man, this kind of gross negligence from the secret service damn near borders on conspiratorial. This is unacceptable from the secret service, and multiple people need to be fired for this.

Fox is reporting that the shooter is dead, 1 rally attender is dead, and at least 1 more is in critical condition.

GOP enthusiasm just went through the roof. Even borderline Trump supporters are likely going to go hard into his camp now.
