I try to give people a little bit of edge room with their personal lives, but rap/hiphops honestly worse for shit like that so I've ended up having to forget about a lot of people that come at me serious for music collabs at the beginning, but then I either don't hear shit from them or they start trying to drag the music a different way then was initially planned..

Yeah it sounds like he was flaking out or something.. I was just trying to say that happens a lot especially with song writers/vocalists. I know you've been working hard on your production skills though so just keep at it..and if worse comes to worse showcase your skills and look for another vocalist. It sucks to have people frontin' when your trying to up your game.. If you catch my vibe..

I'm trying to work with homey, but he saw the shit I do and the producers I work with and found out hiphop isnt really as easy as he thought it was..well that and he's more of a rocker...which I understand. I do like his recording structure and I'm trying to collab with him to get in touch with my roots so I can write choruses, or atleast better hooks for my music.. The way it's going it'll probably be a year before he gets his shit together enough to seriously collab, but we're both people that dabble in multiple genres.. I know it's hard to switch gears.

As someone that's always had to 'write the songs' I can see both sides of the situation though honestly. Even if I per say got a job that takes up my time..or energy (kind of whats going on for me now I'm combating muscle sorenes and braindeadness) I let people I'm working with know exactly whats going on..and for me it always sucks so much to have to do that but theres only so much I can do.. I need to record these lyrics.. it's gonna suck.

That being said I know a lot of fools maybe 5 or so years younger that fit the label of millenial so much it's not even funny.

The generation brackets are actually contradictory and overlapping at many points. You shouldn't even take them seriously according to a lot of officials in the social science sector..

Fuck a lot of rhyme and word play, but I wrote it so I could put a lot more "voice" in my bars and I'm scared to go into the recording phase and end up rushing things. The recording phase is always the best time for some on the fly editing.. not sure I'm prepared. I'm going to go outside and chill before I start the hard part.

Shit like this happens all the time with bands, a lot of song writers don't take the value of the other band members parts seriously..Just keep working on your music and mixing skills man.. You could keep in touch with your drummer, and the rest of the band and either work on writing your own lyrics or search for another vocalist. I hit impasses like this all the time even in hiphop, but I used to drum and do vocals for rock, and metal so I know how you feel.

Let me just say again that I'm not worried about my finger.. I've had one almost completely severed, and got it stitched up. It now has a fancy scar in the shape of a cross that I really like.,, anyway man I went to management LIKE I'VE BEEN TRAINED to do when I'm bleeding, but I just wanted a frggin bandaid to cover it up, and I ended up having to be walked to the front for insurance purposes.. If I didn't get blood all over my shirt I may not have said anything..I still went back to work after all the paperwork it just seemed kind of stupid to have to go through all that trouble.

lol I'm new and the guy training me asked me if I was trying to pull that shit, but I was just like LOOK. I use to be a damn prison guard, and I am OCD/ PTSD about touching shit that has been touched by so many hands (and for all I know other things) with an open cut.
