Wow 1996 Cherokee's did have keyless entry, but it wasn't stock.. I've been in Cherokees that didn't have it the same year.. You should check that show out if you think it'd stop some of the people on it though..

Ironically it was supposed to help prevent car theft by spreading awareness.. and whatever the crazy ass reasoning behind it was supposed to be.

Also ECMs arent that hard to bypass with shit a real criminal might have. Grand theft auto isn't really my thing. but that russian game show was pretty much controlled grand theft auto, and featured cars meant to be theft proof A LOT.
