I unironically considered a follow up meme to suggest you would sidestep my guesses with a deflection to Hamas. You did surprise me a little, though. Didn't expect the double down of Hamas deflection straight back into Israel ass-kissing. I mean, there are like 4 settings: 1. Step on me, Netanyahu 2. Don't look at that war crime Israel committed, look at this other thing 3. It's Hamas' fault Israel is targeting innocent people [just like when daddy hit mommy because a stranger slapped her booty, so really, did she even leave him a choice?] 4. Some variation in there, of course. Like Israel/Netanyahu/IDF are basically interchangeable, much like Hamas and Palestinian. Anyway, my bet was between completely ignoring it or deflecting (as opposed to a puff piece out of spite). Still, I wasn't thinking over the top enough. I didn't consider the obvious..... Alright, man. I think we're taking this a bit far. Don't get me wrong, Icarus can push some buttons and be abrasive, but I don't think that makes him a bad dude on its own. We all have pissed each other off at some point and usually for far more serious or idiotic reasons. Jingai comparisons have their validity; however, Jingai strikes me as significantly more of a bad faith actor than Icarus. It's not really fair to treat them as one to one when they ultimately are different people and the actions of Jingai are starkly more malicious.

Isn't it a bit childish to assume all criticism of your actions are purely nonsensical and insist opinions of you hold no value? You're unironically comparing, "Bro, that was a douchey post," to "You beat your wife!" and that's downright dishonest.

Nobody said you have to care what people on the internet say. I'm suggesting it was phrased in a way that was very easy to read as hostile. It's not your responsibility to control reactions, but a part of basic human communication is making an effort to actually convey what you mean. It isn't a one way street where everyone should be expected to understand nuances of a post that didn't present the nuances. You aren't "too old" to take into consideration criticism, nor does criticism need to be polite to be valid.

What does this mean, then? As in, what is the relationship between the first sentence and the second if not a point of derision at the people in question? I'm not the only person to read it this way, nor is it the first time this type of thing has come up. Writing it off as my imagination is exactly the what I'm talking about. I couldn't have a valid reason for the interpretation, could I? It must be a group hallucination.

I never said it was intelligent. I'd argue most of America's mega-wealthy are 2nd and 3rd (or more) generation of wealth and fundamentally don't understand the limitations of their power. Or have simply been rich for so long they've forgotten what the outside world is like. I'm not confident that dipshits like Elon Musk or Donald Trump have any concept of what losing power could look like, until now that it's too late to fix. None of this has to do with what I'm responding to. My "argument" is that you come off like a smug elitist who's more concerned with looking down on people's decisions than recognizing even the most basic of reasons they may have made those decisions.
