  1. Yeah, that's pretty much it. It's just a tool*. What matters is how it's used. *excluding sentient ones, of course
  2. AI art is going to be a new art form and will inevitably destroy the stranglehold corporations have on media. Taking existing material and transforming it is not theft. Fair Use includes transformative work as a protected right. If it is clearly a new work, even if it contains remnants of existing art, it is not theft. AI art on its own is not inherently bad. There are good and bad applications of it. Divorced from industrial or economic implications for the near future, I have not heard a single criticism of AI art as a creative medium, a meduim in its infancy no less, that do not come off as deluded out of touch ravings of pretentious cringe goblins too scared to become obsolete, neglecting that one art form existing doesn't negate the existence of all before it. I play video games and have read a book or two. One doesn't pose some existential threat to the other. AI art won't make painting impossible, you fucking idiots.
  3. I've never really watched Venture Bros but always wanted to. As far as non-anime AS-shows, my picks are kinda out there: Moral Orel and Xavier.
  4. The second season was prophetic toward the 2016 election.
  5. If a story is ruined by spoilers, it's an indication that the story sucks.
  6. Most people are functionally media illiterate.
  7. My money situation hasn't let me get it yet but one of my friends is probably getting it for my birthday in a few days.
  8. Demon Slayer is a 2/10. I like shiny colors, even more than jingling keys for that matter, but you gotta give me something else eventually.
  9. Weird.
  10. Well yeah, the live action is the only reason to like One Piece.
  11. Live action One Piece > One Piece manga 😎
  12. Rick and Morty trailers seem to always be a great reminder that the show has been stinky since season 2.
  13. Because nobody likes the new stuff but they refuse to let it die?
  14. There's a difference between parody and stripping all character traits to write a completely unrelated character designed to cash in on the original. At what point does it even continue being an iteration of the character? What defining characteristic is shown to give a valid reason to call him Batman? What's the point of asking "What if Batman were isekai'd to RWBY's universe?" if the answer is to just write a different character whose only recognizable characteristic is his outfit? It's not a crossover if you just make the iteration something with absolutely no throughline to tie it to the source content. The project's existence hinges completely on recognition of existing properties. You are paying for those characters. If these are not those characters, there's no point. It may as well be a scam at that point.
  15. How will they ever match the brilliant improv classics like "Wubba lubba dub dub" or "Mr. Poopybutthole"? Gibberish? More like geniusbberish! And, like, his name... it souts like.... poopy butthole! That's hilarious! Who would come up with a name like that? Poop! ON A BUTTHOLE!!! BARHARHARHARHARHAR!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad my IQ is high enough to almost understand the depths of Rick and Morty.
  16. I remember the 2000s, too. "He didn't do it, but if he had they would've wanted it," was weird then and it's weird now. If we're talking evidence, can you back up the claim they just wish he had with more than MySpace/LiveJournal anecdotes? Like proof linking whatever you're talking about the the specific people who made the allegations? If not, it's a really weird and creepy sentiment. We are talking about 16 year olds and a guy old enough to be their grandfather, so even if we humor the notion it would still be gross. If a 16 year old flirted with me I'd nope the fuck out and he's got 30 years on me, dude.
