  1. To clarify, I'm sure misogyny came into on both sides. But she was trying to appeal to GOP voters. Being a Democrat makes GOP votes a non-starter already. Being a woman over the age of consent made it impossible.
  2. It isn't worse in action, but alienated a lot of the base and is probably one of the biggest factors. She ignored her target demographic in favor of status quo. I was thinking more broad terms for policy. It was basically the worst time to push status quo. She was against a well-liked populist and wasn't willing to engage the policies in good faith. Even Trump was feigning support for universal healthcare for some time, and I don't think she was willing to support as much as a public option. Her being a generally disliked politician, having unpopular policies, and openly villifying a large chunk of her base (calling "bErNiE bRos" the "deplorables") made her an especially bad candidiate at the worst possible time to be rigidly status quo. It didn't help that DNC tampering was coming out alongside the election since Julian Assange is a MAGA hack. She wasn't less liked than Trump, either. The electoral college fucked us out of a 2+ mil vote win.
  3. There were a few things, albeit I think I still voted even though by the time I got out of work it was already effectively over: The first was that she's had a multi-decade hate campaign against her. Even if that's the result of misogyny, most people heard "Hillary Clinton" and were like, "ugh," well before 2016, so it's a really awful starting point. After that, there was how aggressively she went against every position that had any level of popularity, and the smug entitlement as she did was very offputting. For a male comparison to the smarminess, she's like the female Democrat Ted Cruz in the smug elitism department. Sanders fans, myself included, were especially mad that she ignored important states out of the assumption she'd win, then lost them despite typically being blue because she kept advocating against anything they would want. We also know she and the DNC propped up Trump for the easy win factor, so Trump is quite literally her fault to some degree. Trump has been throwing the same shit at Kamala, yet the best he's got are "Kamabla" and whining that his Biden potshots are useless now. It doesn't seem to be sticking, and Kamala got us possibly the most popular VP pick I can think of coinciding with Trump picking the least. The biggest difference seems to be that Trump is crumbling real time publicly.
  4. Got the ballot..... Figured complaining would make it get here.
  5. I think I was focusing too much on politicians. Some of these measures seem interesting.
  6. I'll vote if I get it. Unless it looks like ballots missing en masse, I'm not especially broken up over it since I'm not really sure how I feel on most of the local stuff. I'm PNW so Harris is a foregone conclusion. My local politics seem pretty corrupt down to city and county. Amongst Dems and independents, I can't really trust more than a couple. I'm having a frustrating time breaking through the potential astroturf. I dunno, if someone wants to look at Oregon shit be my guest. It's a bit too much to parse on my own and most of them kinda suck.
  7. @Master-Debater131 https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-said-hitler-did-some-good-things-and-wanted-generals-like-the-nazis-former-chief-of-staff-kelly-claims For someone who cries antisemitism over light criticism of Israel, isn't it strange you've completely reverted to supporting a guy who wants generals like Hitler's? Seems a little antisemitic, don't you think?
  8. I don't think my ballot has gotten here yet. Not that my vote really matters. The state's going to Harris, and the race has mathematically been won by the time we start counting for every election I've been old enough to vote in.
  9. Neither can anyone looking at the screenshot since it's a random phone number and most of the message is cut off. This sorry excuse of trolling is genuinely pitiful.
  10. Eh, ghost's way hotter.
  11. "So, uh, it's raining................. I'm probably going to die, as you can see................................ Whatever, I'll be fine."
  12. You should play Xenoblade.
  13. I have an insanely high tolerance toward people's bullshit. I put up with being verbally abused by a guy who decided I was discriminating against him for being in a wheelchair over a phone call in a corporate office that prevented me from ever seeing customers for at least 40 minutes so I could get enough information out of him to file the dispute for, like, 30 bucks. I didn’t have to stay on the call. I probably could've cut the call after a few minutes. I try to not assume malice or stupidity. Bitch be one or both, though.
  14. Of course, I don't have any interest in impacting votes on the matter. It was good to see someone keep Walz accountable, even if the issue is nill in significance. I appreciated that even though it's a non-issue insofar as it doesn't chanhge my vote and he was walking a political tightrope, he did seem to actually try to answer the question once Stewart called him on the politician doublespeak.
  15. Huh, it almost seems like the left doesn't like Harris being buddy-buddy with Cheney....
  16. I need more people to talk Xenoblade with me. 😟
  17. Deep down, there's a morbid curiosity to see how the classic ASMB bigots are holding up. But also, they made this place sketchy as fuck and a bit too much of a shitshow to be worth the fun.
  18. I didn't realize his image changed by nobody caring within days.
  19. He's tried shitting his pants on stage. Given his base, that should be a valid start.
  20. I see. I no longer see because that's needlessly confusing. We're starting post-Suicide Squad, but it was a different one? Or the same one but in a reboot for some reason?
