  1. From this evening, my wife can’t believe I did it, and I can’t believe she can’t believe.
  2. Anger hits a 74 yard field goal and of course it’s against my team. Can’t wait to see this highlight for years to come.
  3. Amazing band and amazing musician. They’re the best band out of Atlanta. RIP.
  4. Same question, but it IS peanut butter. Does this change your answer?
  5. Too 5 Mega Man games 5. Mega Man 10 4. Mega Man 9 3. Mega Man X 2. Mega Man 3 1: Mega Man 2
  6. What a shithole country we’ve become. Perhaps have always been, and I was just ignorant.
  7. The family had a lot of fun at the game last night, preseason is surprisingly fun to go to because these are the hardcore fans and it’s not crowded. Will probably go every year, now. Doesn’t matter that the level of play is not high, the experience is what it’s about.
  8. Please update us in September with a new thread.
  9. I work all day, and get half-drunk at night. Waking at four to soundless dark, I stare. In time the curtain-edges will grow light. Till then I see what's really always there: Unresting death, a whole day nearer now, Making all thought impossible but how And where and when I shall myself die. Arid interrogation: yet the dread Of dying, and being dead, Flashes afresh to hold and horrify. The mind blanks at the glare. Not in remorse - The good not done, the love not given, time Torn off unused - nor wretchedly because An only life can take so long to climb Clear of its wrong beginnings, and may never; But at the total emptiness for ever, The sure extinction that we travel to And shall be lost in always. Not to be here, Not to be anywhere, And soon; nothing more terrible, nothing more true. This is a special way of being afraid No trick dispels. Religion used to try, That vast, moth-eaten musical brocade Created to pretend we never die, And specious stuff that says No rational being Can fear a thing it will not feel, not seeing That this is what we fear - no sight, no sound, No touch or taste or smell, nothing to think with, Nothing to love or link with, The anasthetic from which none come round. And so it stays just on the edge of vision, A small, unfocused blur, a standing chill That slows each impulse down to indecision. Most things may never happen: this one will, And realisation of it rages out In furnace-fear when we are caught without People or drink. Courage is no good: It means not scaring others. Being brave Lets no one off the grave. Death is no different whined at than withstood. Slowly light strengthens, and the room takes shape. It stands plain as a wardrobe, what we know, Have always known, know that we can't escape, Yet can't accept. One side will have to go. Meanwhile telephones crouch, getting ready to ring In locked-up offices, and all the uncaring Intricate rented world begins to rouse. The sky is white as clay, with no sun. Work has to be done. Postmen like doctors go from house to house.
  10. I love telling my wife our team has gone to the Super Bowl twice since her team won the conference.
  11. Poor Packard…
  12. They’ve effectively ended the game, the players are standing on the field and they got together in a circle to pray. The game clock is running but the players are just standing on the field. It was the right decision. Who the fuck wants to continue a preseason game where someone gets critically injured? This is so sad.
  13. Horrible injury to a Lions player in this preseason game, there’s an ambulance on the field. His head snapped by so far, hoping it’s not paralysis.
  14. THE FUCK WITH GEORGIA THIS WEEK!?
  15. Crime shouldn’t be illegal when he does it, duh!
  16. My Dad did acid before I was born and he posts the laaaaaamest shit on instagram and facebook. I know I generalized and present company is excluded, of course.
  17. These are lame even for a baby boomer. This is like if the silent generation could use social media.
  18. Are you still on that hellsite for work? I loved Twitter but I had to get out. Bluesky is boring because it’s an echo chamber but at least I’m feeling healthier on there.
  19. It’s the C-list actor go-to, now. Grift to the far-right. They’re mostly rubes so it’s an easy cash-in. I don’t know why I’m hyphenating so many words.
