It was weird at best and definitely dysfunctional. My earliest memories of him are my mom dropping me off at his house and him being gone most of the time...I would snoop in his room while he was gone and that was the first time I saw weed, roach clips and crooked scissors. He liked the gold Listerine, which I became enamored with that smell...so much so I still use it today. He would take me to go play Pac-Man but mostly I was just at his house alone or he'd drop me off at my aunt's. My next set of memories comes from when he visited after we moved to the south....I remember 2 visits....the first, my mom apparently found a roach he had left in the fish bowl (it was decorative) and they argued about it for a long time....but they are hilarious when they argue...most kids would be traumatized but I think it's mostly where I developed my sense of humor. The next time he came, it was during Christmas and I got a Nintendo and a tape recorder....I waited for them to argue and I hid in the hallway and pushed the tape recorder into the room with them....I then listened to it daily to laugh and even played it for my friends. I went back to visit him alone when I was 13-14 ish. This was when Street Fighter 2 hit arcades. He lived next to the mall...it had the arcade and the Magic Johnson Theater....he gave me money and that's what I did every day....don't really remember he and I hanging out, but he bought me Street Fighter 2010 for NES. I had to have it. That and the new game I had just discovered in the arcade had the same name and they were both made by Capcom....even though the back of the box looked nothing like SF2, I was still optimistic that I would somehow get to play what I had been playing in the arcade when I got home. Last time was at his funeral...I was 16-17.....I have no idea why, but I lost my shit....we didn't really have much of a relationship other than he gave me money, but I was super sad over it for like an hour....then I finally found weed. Tldr. Meh

My guess is the old Morty was mostly only in season 1 (that I recall) and those probably came out on DVD and in syndication before they introduced George's parents ... that's just a guess tho...I have no clue
