As a man who has dealt with more than a few traffic citations, some bogus, some not. If the cop shows up to court and you plead not guilty, it's going to trial... you'll lose and court fees will be on you. If he's in that courtroom and has you dead to rights, my advice would be plead guilty and pay the fine. Contesting it in futility will cost you. If he's not there, then yeahhh....not guilty all the way. Do what you want tho.
