  1. I apologize for being too contentious. Yes, I feel I should do the same. I am already ignoring the polling results. I might as well just ignore it all for a while.
  2. He studied engineering. I really hate how hyperpartisan this country has become. I made that shit up about the wojak response. I hate Trump and many of his supporters. I'm not gonna let something as shitty and fickle as American politics create a divide between people I care about. This all reminds me of something my Afghani friend said, and she really hates the Taliban and Islam: There are many good people with bad beliefs and many bad people with good beliefs. Take that as you will.
  3. 10 "Easy" Languages for Native English Speakers, with the easiest first and my shitty opinions about them: Esperanto - Useless conlang Afrikaans - Slowly dying Apartheid language Norwegian - Vikings Swedish - Vikings Spanish - Most useful language for Americans to learn Italian - Pasta Dutch - Dutch people will just speak to you in English Portuguese - Oddball language that sounds like a mixture of French, Spanish, and Russian French - Most useful language for Canadians to learn Danish - Weird vikings
  4. He told I don't understand, and then he shared with me a wojak that represents Gen Z malaise.
  5. Top ten Japanese food, the first two are interchangeably the best, the rest are in no order: Sukiyaki Shabu Shabu Tonkotsu Ramen Okinawan Soba Yakitori Katsu Kare Takoyaki Teriyaki Tempura Gyoza
  6. It's not a straight white male problem anymore. It's a male problem, particularly a young male problem. Young men of all races are leaving the Democrats. And although young gay men are still mostly Democrat, there are quite a few becoming more Republican these days. I think the question should be why are many young men of all races moving to the right, especially when many of them are going against their best interests by voting in such a manner?
  7. My younger brother voted for Trump 😐 Young men moving away from Democrats is a problem that should be taken seriously. Just dismissing them as incels and the like gives power to Andrew Tate-esque personalities. The male ego is pathetically fragile, yes. You have to use just the right language to get messages across.
  8. 4SSHOL$
  9. Top ten international cuisines, in descending order: Japanese Chinese Italian Indian Mexican German Vietnamese Thai Korean French
  10. I changed my number today, for reasons. I set up my new voicemail and what do you know? It already has political spam waiting for me. I guess they're just sending their shit to every number based on the area code. šŸ™„
  11. iirc, mail ballot is the only way to vote early in PA. None of these ballots get counted, under a stupid measure by the PA Republican legislation, until election day. However, a greater percentage of Republicans this time are doing mail ballots, so I doubt it'll be the same exact stupid claims as last time. In PA, there is incentive to vote on election day because you 100 percent know your vote is counted right there as the ballot gets fed to the machine. However, I had to wait 2 hours to vote in 2020 and got covid a week later. Fuck that, not going through that again.
  12. I dropped my PA ballot off today. It was at a ski lodge. There were people supervising the ballot box. I was in and out. So much quicker than in-person voting on election day.
  13. I keep getting texts from this thing called "We won't stop calling, we won't stop texting.' Eat shit and die.
  14. Spanish is a highly logical language, despite still having gendered nouns, a concept I find pretty stupid. I've heard that the subjunctive mood is hard for native English speakers to master, as it doesn't happen that often in English compared to Spanish. I guess I'll see soon.
  15. I mean, Starbucks has those spinach feta wraps and shit. the annoying one posted BK, so I thought you responded with another abbreviation of a place, SB. I recall you saying you skip dinner sometimes. I thought you may have been high and decided to just have some pumpkin spice drinks for dinner. Yeah, I over analyzed this for no reason too.
  16. Starbucks? I had chicken biryani.
  17. I think I'm gonna actively avoid political news from now until the end of the election. I learned my lesson from 2016; I will actually vote and I will ignore the polls. I did my part with early voting. I feel the rest now is highly speculative bullshit meant to placate and fear-monger.
  18. I still really like sushi. It's just there are so many other foods that are better. Cooked seafood is better. I really want to eat bouillabaisse one day again.
  19. I might have to commit seppuku with this one: sushi is overrated. 😭
  20. Thanks, I always thought Joy reminded me of someone, and this pic helped me . . . she reminds me of Envy morphing as Hughes's wife.
  21. "Butt bees" refers to a viral urban legend or meme that started circulating online as a joke. It involves fictional scenarios where people are told to beware of "butt bees," as if there were bees targeting people’s backsides. The whole idea is intentionally absurd, creating a sense of humor that’s both ridiculous and vaguely alarming—perfect for internet meme culture! There’s no real situation involving bees that specifically targets one’s butt, so you don’t need to worry about encountering them in real life (and your bee sting allergy is safe from this particular meme).
  22. It's not a uniquely Ameican phenomenon. Look at the country with the lowest birth rate in the world. https://www.npr.org/2024/04/10/1243819495/elections-reveal-a-growing-gender-divide-across-south-korea
  23. The growing divide between men and women is a legitimate issue Pat and I brought up earlier in this thread. This is gonna cause the birth rate to plummet. Unlike conservatives who just look to the past with rose tinted glasses, I think population decline will ultimately be a good thing for humanity and the planet as a whole.
