How's this make any sense? Literally what were they waiting for. All that military gear but no way to get past a locked door? Sacrificing a classroom of children to the shooter while stalling and figuring out how to proceed with zero risk to any cops. Feds didn't just immediately supercede the PD's shooter-enabling strategy of cowering?

Been funny to see these cops banding together to publicly lie their ass off over and over, constantly changing their story hoping to obfuscate what happened just enough that they somehow come out of this smelling at least a little bit like anything other than bloody shit. Regular cop shit. Nothing special or unique about the way the coward cops in this militarized department conducted themselves, or their lying attempts at ass covering in the days afterward.

I understand this argument. I don't believe most people actually think that, not even the really dumb ones. I think most people by now know what it means. Defund the police, take money away from them, use that money toward better things which will result in fewer problems that need addressing. They understand what it means. They just disagree with it. Like how Biden and Democrats in power generally only ever talk about how we need to give the police MORE money, always giving them more money for more weapons and vehicles and tactical gear and fake OT. That's all any mayor or governor or president or politician ever wants to do is give endless more money to The Police as currently constructed. House the homeless. End the war on drugs. Defund the police. People know what these things mean, they just pretend not to because they don't agree with it, and when you say these things they get hostile and pretend they agree but are simply embarrassed to be seen near you because you're wording it the Wrong way. They fill their party with right wingers, back right wing candidates over left wing ones, and explicitly run on the premise that they can win by appealing to some narrow subset of moderate Republicans who arent fully comfortable with the glorious new depths the demons on the right have supposedly plunged to, but for that to work they can never do anything that most of the people who vote for them want, such as making abortion actually legal with legislation, or providing universal healthcare and expanding mental health services with the kind of fervor they have for funding war and the military's annual budget of literally a trillion dollars.
