B/c my team is the Jets. Is it weird I don't have the sex drive I used to have in my 20s? Now I don't even log into dating sites, and I find the most pleasure in reading. I completely lost interest in pursuing a girlfriend. 🤷‍♂️

I'm still genuinely confused as to how the whole healthcare system works. I know I have my primary doctor, who I've never met and who isn't a liver specialist, and that I was supposed to set up a follow-up appointment with someone who is a liver specialist and is covered by my health insurance, but I honestly don't know who to call. I figure I should call the local hospital and ask someone there because they've had someone drain the bilirubin in my abdominal region twice in the past two months, and it would appear I'm due to get it drained again.

I'm not a fan of showers. I like taking hot bubble baths and oatmeal baths.

Tomorrow will mark two weeks since I was discharged from the hospital, and I have been taking my medications regularly and eating healthily, but my ascites is still noticeable and some nights I start moaning and wake up every hour even though I'm not in pain. My weight when I got out of the hospital was 188lbs and stayed in the 186-88 range for a few days afterward, but every day since then I've noticed that I have been losing a few pounds. Right now I am at 161. Do you think I am losing weight at a concerning rate or is this a good thing because I might be shedding excess weight?

I've heard that Mandarin is an extremely difficult to language to learn for a native English speaker. I'm trying to learn to read Latin and Greek, but they're pretty hard languages to pick up. I have a reading knowledge of French, but there are still a lot of times when I don't know a word or an idiomatic expression and have to look up the meaning.

I tried scanning the bar code for a free HBO Max trial on my phone while watching Adult Swim last night, but my TV is from 2012, so nothing happened. I'm not really interested in this service anyway. I'm not sure what it has, but I already pay over $200/month for cable, and I'm cutting out all the movie channels this month because I rarely watch them and have seen the movies they play countless times.

I know I'm 30, but I figure it's time that I get a master's in English and get a real job for once. The regular GRE isn't too bad, except for the quantitative section because I'm not great at math, but wow I forgot how hard the actual subject test in English is. I honestly might have to delay this for a year because I have a ton of reading to do. I forgot how much I struggled with poetry and confidently identifying all of its elements, so I really need to brush up on that and read a lot of Shakespeare especially. It'll be fun... I really do need high GRE scores to make up for not doing anything significant for basically a decade and having a downward trend in grades the last time I took college courses. That'd be cool to get into NYU's MA program, but I would have to be nearly flawless with my 20-25 page writing sample, personal statement, "resume", test scores, and (the hardest part of the application) my letters of recommendation, if I can get even get any. Realistically, I'll be trying to get admitted to Seton Hall's MA program, but I'm not a fan of the limited course options and structure of the program with its "hubs" and "spokes". Back to work! 🤠

I want to get my master's degree or PhD just so I can write and read and write and read, but I have so much debt owed to the government that I think I better wait until I hit the jackpot.
