    in the wake of the meetoo movement, I would assume either all the rape/incest/misogynistic objectification of women, would be removed, or rewritten in a way that demonizes it rather than plays it up as fap material for straight men that said, since they aren't whitewashing it, I am EXTREMELY curious about what changes exactly they are actually going to make since the fact that they're casting asian actors implies some level of (unfortunate in this case) respect for the source material

    originally it was stated that he was in jail for being a serial rapist of men but according to somebody they just released a special manga chapter retconning all of that as of the new chapter it's been revealed that he's never raped anybody he just fell in love with a super villain and asked to go to Jail with him because he didn't want to be separated from him (which I guess is why he's allowed to leave Jail whenever he wants to fight crime) and that the idea that he's a rapist is literally just everybody around him making homophobic assumptions about him because he's gay guess someone involved with the series decided depicting gay men as scary hideous rapists was a bad thing now if only they'd redesign his face to make him look like a fucking human being

    the explaination was literally that Toriyama didn't tell Toei what color Buu's eyes were so they just left them uncolored (white) until they could ask him what color Buu's eyes were supposed to be
