Visually the movie looks awesome. Storywise; it's hard to say from the trailer. It seems like just another generic movie based on that. The shelling sequence, however, was awesome. I kind of got 2001 vibes from the end of the sequence. If the rest of the movie ends up like that then it'll be awesome. Needless to say, I'm gonna go see it.

Ooooh, interesting... This takes me back to 2012 when everyone was gunning for PSG to air on Toonami. I'm sure that if this is another season the same thing is gonna happen again.

I'll hopefully be moving out within a year or so, if I do I'll get some dedicated shelving for this stuff.

I finally got around to watching this a couple days ago. My primary DVR failed to record it, so I had to use a screencapture program to get a copy of the Toonami airing from XFinity on Campus. That was terrible. But, I got it, so I'm happy. This was an excellent movie. Definitely not typical Toonami fare, but I don't think it mattered that much. The story was great, and the animation was beautiful. My only main complaint is that Ark Angel just kinda disappeared from the movie, but even then, that's justified and isn't much of a complaint. I'm glad this did well for Toonami, especially since it may mean we get some more movies in the future.

Holy shit Kubo was seriously ill. Well at the very least, that put's a lot more stuff into perspective. Hopefully the guy gets better.

Well at least no one here is a Browns fan. I am a 49ers fan, though, so fuck me, I guess.

I really love the older cartoons like this. I always have, ever since I was little. Admittedly, my knowledge is slanted more towards Warner Brothers and Tom and Jerry, since that's what I really watched all the time on TV, but I've seen a decent amount of Disney and some MGM cartoons. I think my favorite of the cartoons are the WWII era ones. The propaganda aspect in them can be fun to watch, even if it's at times racist or dated.

So does that mean Lightning McQueen is dead now? Because to be honest that's probably the only thing that will make me see a Cars movie anymore.

Well it's good to know Toonami is airing the regular lineup for Thanksgiving this year. Not that I mind the end of the year marathons too much, but it does seem really compact when there ends up being marathons September through the end of December.

Well I guess my fringe prediction about SARA finally getting a body was right, so I'm happy about that. Is it bad that the first thing that came into my mind after I saw it wasn't Navi, but Yui from SAO?

Yeah, pretty much this. If it isn't Astral Ocean I like it. Michiko and Hatchin was good, I thought. Definitely a bit lighter on the action, though, so I can see why some people disliked it.

Wasn't that non canon, though?

I'd like my stuff transferred, if possible.

Eh, ouch with the ratings this week. Was Adult Swim down as a whole or did DBZ just have a really bad night. Also the whole "cancell JoJo" thing is getting real bothersome. Toonami never cancels shows. They only show that they may have considered it for was Tenchi GXP, and even then they just moved that to a lower timeslot. The sooner that everyone accepts that JoJo is going to run it's course on Toonami, the happier everyone will be.
