I wonder if they bumped his age up a little bit and are trying to pass that grown man off as a high schooler. -
Live Action Yu Yu Hakusho drops first trailer
DragonSinger replied to Jman's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
I cannot get into this at all. It's probably because I watched some of the anime recently, but the trailer is ruined for me. Everything looks like a downgrade in the live-action trailer. I can be persuaded if I see a weird ass Baby Koenma later. -
People have learned over the years how to document and spread info on social media better. More Americans have woken up to the fucked up shit our government pays for through the efforts of people posting educational articles online about our interference in governments. A lot of brewing anger surrounding how Covid was handled which also revealed how shitty a lot of our systems are and has people paying more attention. Anger at police brutality in the US and its relationship with IDF has become more well-known, especially with the forming of Cop Cities. Netanyahu did a lot over the past couple of years while people were watching, so the US government's old messaging is not working as well. Also not helped by Israel's government accounts on social media blatantly admitting to war crimes. And people have already grown tired of seeing the same shit happen over and over again, but the gaslighting is pissing them off more. I genuinely don't understand why way too many Democrats think this is 2003 and their constituents are gonna be like MD jacking themselves off over the bombing of thousands. Getting people out to vote was already hard, so I don't know why they think being pro-genocide is gonna have folks flocking to the polls.

What Are You Thinking About Right Now?

The Marvels is 90 minutes? Yo, they need to advertise the fuck out of that. Run that fact as a ticker under the trailer because that's mostly what I want. 90 minutes of fun instead of getting pissed off at the 2-hour mark wondering why they had to drag this on. I do also like all the lead characters so this was already a win for me. -

Ooph. The houseguest y'all were threatening to psychologically torture and were isolating actually had a close relative pass while playing and was silently grieving? Oh y'all getting lashes when y'all get out, and that's what you get for being weird for no daggone reason. -

Thinking about this quote from New York on House of Villains. For some unknown reason, it really resonated with me. -

I don't understand going on a show known for having cameras everywhere 24/7 and not acting right when viewers see your every weakness. Especially when those fans are obsessive and will document any personal info you reveal while being filmed or deep dive for any info of you online. I already know folks are compiling videos of this chick's alcoholic tendencies, including the times she's taken swigs of mouthwash when she thought no one was paying attention. This chick is a small entertainer/actress, so she probably has an agent. I don't know what they discussed, but one of their talks should have been to not piss off the Big Brother fanbase. -
I Don't Know How to Deal With This Shit
DragonSinger replied to DragonSinger's topic in General Discussion
We don't hang out in the yard rubbernecking, so the neighbor can't really pin the cop calls on us. We've also arrived home multiple times to see the cops at their place, so even if the neighbor suspects, she knows it's not just us. -
I Don't Know How to Deal With This Shit

I didn't call the police today. I'm fully aware that unless you laid eyes on it, can hear it clearly, etc. that's the only time you can do something. When we did call the police, you could hear how bad things were from maybe 2 streets back. And like I said, sometimes the cops were already called before we could even make a decision, and cops had seen enough in time that they ended up babysitting the house twice to make sure the boyfriend moved out(no idea how that works or what exactly qualifies for that action). -
Content warning for violent neighbor with a kid: So the house I and multiple folks had to call the cops on because it sounded like someone was being thrown through a wall, is possibly still fucked even after the boyfriend moved out. When I was taking my dog out this afternoon, the daughter got off the bus and was greeted by her dog loose in the yard. She was so happy and because I hadn't heard shrieking and banging since the mother's boyfriend left, I turned my back to them. I know the mother was waiting at the front door because it was open, but when I heard the kid reach the door, I could hear her mother talk in a weird tone and then what sounded like the daughter being snatched inside followed by the kid's voice in distress and a loud yelp of pain that I'm 70% sure was the dog. There was silence after that. I barely doubt what I heard because years of playing music trained my ears to quickly identify sounds. I'm going to keep an eye out and not turn my back on them again, but the mother is weird to me. She and the boyfriend actually had a system set up that if they became self-aware of how loud and violent they were, they would suddenly stop going at each other, and then turn off all the house lights in preparation of someone calling the cops. It took me watching 3 cop visits to figure that shit out. The first clue was how the cops were parking when they came. Every single time except for that house, the cops come and park on the driveway of the house they were sent to. At this house though, they park almost a block away and walk to the door. I've never seen them do that, and it was multiple times. Then the night of the shrieking and crashing sounds, the house went from lit up inside and outside to dark and quiet as a mouse in a matter of seconds just as we had gotten hold of a dispatcher. The quickness they had done it in creeped me the fuck out. They straight up had a routine that the cops have probably taken note of somewhere. Even if I misheard or there was an innocent reason for what I heard today, there was some good luck with a truck of dudes pulling up to the neighbor's like 3 minutes later. I don't know if the mother thought they were cops(they looked like workers sent there for something to do with the property(it's rented out by an investment firm), but she stayed quiet for a good 45 minutes while those dudes waited outside and kept trying the doorbell. During that time and afterwards, I knew I probably wouldn't hear yelps of pain from the kid or dog. This is rural Georgia, so I've dealt with abusive neighbor shit before. Just not someone who has a 'dodge the cops routine' and a mental off/on button for violence on the drop of a dime(possibly). Before today, I'd only seen the mother and her boyfriend going at it. I did know the kid was going through it because I woke up at 3 a.m. one night to see cops doing a search for the kid in the neighborhood because she ran away. I thought since I hadn't seen anything for a while after the boyfriend left that things were better over there, but I guess not.

Flavor Flav actually didn't make my ears bleed. It wasn't good, but lucky for him, Fergie set the bar in Hell. I don't mind celebrities who aren't singers doing the anthem just because it's interesting to watch, and I feel like there's always a sense of disappointment no matter who sings because Whitney had to make sure everyone was gonna suffer from unrealistic expectations after her. -

I sure did waste hours trying to hunt down a movie I saw as a kid which turned out to be Lady Mobster starring Susan Lucci. It was ridiculous to me back then, so I want to see how bonkers it is today(or more like next week). -
I hope the appointment goes well and you get something that can help the pain.

I don't know why Keith Lee's reviews of some Atlanta joints caused so much debate. A few restaurants just had some bad days. There's nothing wrong with them. It's still perfectly cool to try them. Y'all will be fine and taste great food. Don't mind the long lines, traffic, and food wait times. They're all worth it. And let me tell ya, the food outside the perimeter is terrible. No flavor at all. No, siree. Atlanta proper is where you want to be dining. Trust me on this. -
