  1. Well, that was hilarious! We THOUGHT it was gonna be an awkward bath walk-in scene, but he just bumped into her in the hallway! 2. Oh COURSE Kazu's Holon uses a sword!! Wow, what a twist! It turns out the bad bot is somehow linked to Chase! And I guess that sets up the next episode promo!
  3. "hah? IT'S OVER!?!" https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/fire-force/episode-6/.150155 Rating: 3⭐. Yeah, that one also surprised our reviewer!!!

  6. Agreed! We'll see the aftermath of him smacking some sense into her, after the break!!!
  7. First Alice and now her--what is it with anime characters in 2019 ripping off Bleach's Byakuya Kuchiki!?
  8. Episode 09: "The Breading that Showcases The Mountains" Insert boob jokes here. Your Midnight Snack that shows up an hour late (unless you're in Central Time Zone): 1 AM ET. ONLY TOONAMI!!! [because who else would air this? food network?? gimme a break...]

  13. Episode 5: The Best Defense OP: "Belgrade" Cammie lost her head last episode, sort of! Join us as she fights to get it back, well as much as she originally had it, anyway. 11:30 PM Tomorrow night (8/31), ONLY TOONAMI!!
  14. ADVENT OF THE RED COMET EPISODE 9: COLONY DROP The Spacenoids gonna drop it like it's hot, and we've got a new OP and ED!!! (Spoiler-tagged because they haven't aired yet, duh!) 3 AM tomorrow night (8/31-9/1), kicking off the "home stretch" of TOONAMI!!!
  15. Not coming until 2020, so I guess it could be gen:LOCK Season TWO's replacement?
  16. So is this show gonna be in grayscale? If so, BOLD move for Toonami!!
  17. Look, I don't care what y'all think--this episode was cool and very well done! Also, the next episode apparently has a runtime of only 23 minutes, 54 seconds according to Wikipedia, so we'll most likely get the full OP once again.
  18. Genndy probably could have had Family Guy as a lead-in if he'd gotten PRIMAL on Toonami. Now he's gonna get Rick & Morty and I guess Supermansion between FG and PRIMAL. Will this move pay off? Probably not... Then again, there IS one X-Factor: will [as] lose the 8 PM hour in October? If so, and everything moves back an hour, as I suspect it might, PRIMAL would be directly led-into by Family Guy!
  19. This nonsense kinda blew up on Twitter last night. But good ol' Sketch brought up an interesting point: this is most likely NOT a new thing. At most recent, it's from the 2nd half of 2016, when the Great Saiyaman arc of DBZ Kai was being recorded. But it's a LOT more likely this is a warm-up out-take from the OG dub back in 2001. That was a different time, when Big Gay Al was a thing on South Park, and Eminem was rhyming "maggot" with "faggot". To be looked at under the lens of the LGBTQ-empowered society and post-#meToo of 2019 is rather quaint.
  20. By now, the news is everywhere that Genndy Tartakovsky's PRIMAL will NOT be on Toonami--but instead will be a weeknight miniseries, but it does represent Adult Swim's first real foray into placing premieres of an action-forward show on weeknights in a long time. Could it be a trial run to see how other action programming fares on weeknights, and perhaps even to brand it as "Toonami Midnight Run" by 2020? Currently, Toonami is showing some great shows really late at night, and having access to a Midnight Run hour for older shows (NOT reruns) to air on weeknight strips as they did from 2000-2003 would remedy that. It would also be useful if a show has been dubbed for a while in order to catch up to a more recent season, as is the case with Food Wars!. And of course a weeknight Naruto Shippuden has been a dream happening for a long time, since those last 230-something episodes will take YEARS to get through otherwise! And of course One Piece not being on weeknights at least initially to catch up to the dub might be what ultimately doomed it.
  21. Nah, I don't believe that's even possible here. They WILL finish Dragon Ball Super. Dragon Ball stuff is way too valuable to Toonami. Besides, [as] shows have always had homophobic slurs in jest. This is nothing new. I mean, Vic was in such hot water earlier this year for WAY more controversial behavior, and they let JoJo Part 4 play out, so if you think this will affect DBS, you're insane.
