  1. Didn't Wulin get cancelled after premiering only 2 episodes? I can't see that happening with Food Wars! I'm thinking that may have been the plan 2 weeks ago, but Sentai complained, so midnight snack Food Wars! for Sentai's home state Texas and the rest of Central Time Zone it is!
  2. Tonight on Dragon Ball Super, we're down to just 2 universes in the Tournament of Power, and Vegeta's taking the fight straight to Jiren! If you like Vegeta, THIS IS YOUR EPISODE!!! 11 PM SATURDAY NIGHT (8/3), ONLY TOONAMI!!!
  3. Episode 8: Who Has The Black Notebook? 12:30 PM tomorrow night (8/3), ONLY TOONAMI!!!
  4. #61 (Season 3, Episode 23): Deku vs. Kacchan, Part 2! 3:30 AM Tomorrow night (8/3-8/4)!!! ONLY TOONAMI!!!!
  5. My theory is it will be eventually aired uncut during a marathon of Season 1, because it's just right-sized for Toonami and that will be the perfect time to do it... OR AT LEAST I'MMA RAISE HOLY HELL TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!!! Y'ALL CAN COUNT ON ME!!!!!!!
  6. 5 is my favorite number... ...so NOT ON YOUR LIFE! [maybe next week...]
  7. Hopefully we get the opening with Episode 2 next week... [I guess]
  8. #05: An Ice Queen and a Spring Storm Soma cooks a pretty mean dish of...just about anything, except Squid!! Umami? Yo MOMMY!! See the next chapter of his struggle with the Council of 10--1 AM ON TOONAMI!!!
  9. BURN BABY BURN!!! MIDNITE 2MORO (8/3) ONLY TOONAMI!!!!!
  10. New OP, new ED, New Mecha battles? [just in case you didn't get enough of them in gen:LOCK] 3 AM Tomorrow Night (8/3), ONLY TOONAMI!!!
  11. American Animation is BACK on Toonami!!! 11:30 PM Tomorrow (8/3)...
  12. And it's kinda EDUCATIONAL!! Like, how many Toonami faithful actually became better cooks from the first 4 episodes of this show???
  13. I wonder if the cut scenes will be streaming on Adult Swim's site? They sure are promoting the hell out of it on-air
  14. I thought the Nine Titans were mentioned in the literature in the basement. "Abnormal" is just a term that the people of Paradis used to refer to any Titan that acts in an unusual way. The Colossal and Armored were lumped into that, but it was pretty clear from the outset that they were different.
  15. You're right. It was indeed mentioned that that thing went into overdrive soon after the scouting expedition to Shiganshina. But as for the Titans inside the walls, they're not bothering anything as long as they're not exposed to sunlight. BTW, Eren now has 3 Titan powers: Attack (his first); Hardening (acquired in 1st half Season 3); and Coordinate. The other 6 are apparently Agile/Female (Annie), Beast (Zeke), Armored (Reiner), Colossal (Armin), Jaw (Ymir), and maybe one other we haven't seen yet?
  16. That is quite odd. They might really hold the rights to that in perpetuity? I'm sure it will never see another run on Cable TV again, either way. Or maybe they shelled out a bit more to extend it when they got Lupin the 3rd Part 5? I suppose it makes sense to keep Part 4 streaming while airing Part 5 if possible. I'm sure Part 5 will get a rerun (and it might not) before Part 4 ever does either way. Yeah, a good rule of thumb is rights expire to shows that premiered on Toonami 2 years ago. Of course, there are some exceptions, like Dragon Ball Super and Attack on Titan, the latter of which I believe they got for a 5-year deal and actually renewed Season 1 in order to do their short rerun at 3:30 AM prior to the 2nd half of Season 3. And it remains yet to be seen if the 1st season of Black Clover is up this December. At least until then all episodes are streaming on [as].com and the [as] app!
  17. Right. Now if he had gone into shock from losing his arm, he would have been dissolved in the Titan's stomach, and then we would have had "Attack Santa Titan" in an alternate universe! Kind of amazing that there turned out not to be THAT many free-walking Titans, but man, are there a BUNCH of Titans inside those walls. I think the secret to turning them human again and saving the Eldians of Paradis may be in Marley somewhere!
  18. Oh yeah. At this point, Gundam and MHA are definitely "buried treasure!"
  19. You mean NEARLY kill Mikasa, inject her with Titan serum, have her eat Annie or one of the other 7 of the Nine, and then they'll all be Titans? Ah, but Mikasa is an Ackerman, and there is some sort of significance to that family name of which the surface has just been scratched. It's almost like SHE may have royal blood needed to trigger Eren's Coordinate power too? I'm sure it will be blown wide open in the Final Season, which starts next fall!
  20. What show are you referring to with that "biggest pickup regret since GXP?" Food Wars! or Gundam? Because Gundam is definitely turning out NOT to be like that at all. It beat Lupin AND Food Wars!
  21. That's precisely why it's not counted. A show only counts as a "dub premiere" if it has an English dub vocal track that has never been heard anywhere else on TV, home video, or online. Is Fire Force the freshest show that's NOT a dub premiere? Indubitably. It also has the newest animation of any show on Toonami, obviously! Which on that note, starting this Saturday, here is the year in which each show's animation on Toonami was first seen in Japan (or in the case of gen:LOCK, over here...) Dragon Ball Super - 2018 Gen:LOCK - 2019 Fire Force - 2019 Lupin III Part 5 - 2018 Food Wars - 2015 Black Clover - 2019 Boruto - 2018 Naruto Shippuden - 2012 Gundam: The Origin - 2016 My Hero Academia - 2018 Essentially, what has happened recently is two shows from 2019 (Sword Art Online: Alicization and Attack On Titan Season 3) got replaced by 2 shows from 2019 (Fire Force and gen:LOCK), but the ones that ended were dub premieres, while the new shows aren't. Hunter x Hunter, with its last episode animated in 2014, got replaced by a contemporary in Gundam: The Origin--or actually a show that was slightly newer (2015) when it began. The only recent "WTF!?" replacement was Food Wars, which replaced The Promised Neverland - a 2019 show with a 2015 one of much lower quality! I'm thinking when MHA ends it will most likely be replaced by AOT S3 Part 2 reruns, bringing up another 2019 show. And in September Gundam advances to 2017 and later 2018, but those will be the only changes to the year shows were animated on the lineup until October or so. And hopefully that will bring in more 2019 shows with Demon Slayer and the return of MHA for Season 4, replacing DBS and gen:LOCK. As for Gundam, it's an older show but it would be nice to see Space Battleship Yamato 2199 (Star Blazers 2199) on Toonami. It would lock down a timeslot for a while if they aired the entire series, though.
  22. The 3 current dub premieres are Dragonball Super, Lupin the 3rd Part 5, and Boruto.
  23. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/boruto-naruto-next-generations/episode-41/.126562 Grade: "B". Teamwork makes the dream work!
  24. Good question...I suppose it might have something to do with the spinal fluid? Eren's was never breached.
