  1. This show is airing in Japan at 1:25 AM on Friday nights. It's NOT a show for children! (Yes, we have the better timeslot for once!)
  2. THIS. Recall that Gundam: The Origin at 3 AM usually, but not always, beat Shippuden at 2:30 AM (9 times out of 13) in Adults 18-49. That's most likely because that demographic is the most relevant to have access to DVR. However, it should be noted that this was NOT the case with total viewers; Gundam only beat Shippuden 6 times out of 13, but that still might be statistically significant since Gundam is on later and the trend would be expected to be downward. On average, Shippuden still has the edge, however. ON to THIS week's ratings, and One-Punch Man WAY down. The Forge and MHA S4 can't come in here fast enough! http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-11-2-2019.html At least JoJo made the Top 50 this week after not making it for its debut last week. And Demon Slayer keeping pace with One-Punch Man and Dr. Stone is pretty remarkable. Hopefully the presence of never-before-seen content on the block next week (I'd say "this week", but we've already seen episode 1 of The Forge on Pre-Flight) helps the ratings!!
  3. MOHS Hardness rating. It, like most of the science in this show, is actually a real thing... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohs_scale_of_mineral_hardness
  4. Yeah, it's been a while since it's had a weeknight run. It looks like it's not going anywhere, so maybe that's in the cards for January 2020? It would most likely be as DBS on weeknights at 8, DBZK resuming its 2018-2019 rerun Saturday nights at 8, but I wonder if Primal has opened their eyes to the prospect of a midnight run instead?
  5. I think Part 5 might even get a rerun if they hadn't stuck premieres at 2:30 AM. Unfortunately, there won't be enough time to do that with Part 4 before its rights expire in 2020, which would happen right after Part 5 ends its Toonami run, perhaps even before.
  6. Damn, I did too! I actually made it last year though... ...but it's not this show that screwed me up...
  7. Well, that shoots down that crackpot theory! Hmm, I wonder why August 14th 2020 and April 5th 2022??
  8. Last night on Toonami, the final episode of Dragon Ball Super finally got its encore. The timing is suspicious, as 5 years ago, on November 8, 2014, the first episode of DBZ Kai aired on Toonami. Now, 5 years and a day later, we've finally got a non-movie, non-marathon lineup without a Dragon Ball show! Could it be that all 3 shows (DBZ Kai, DBZ KFC, and DBS), were on the same 5-year deal that was made for the 99-episode original Kai only, and was later amended to include the other two? Is this is really all the Dragon Ball we'll ever see on Toonami or [as]?
  9. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/jojo-bizarre-adventure-golden-wind/episodes-1-2/.138122 Grade: "B+". I think that's lowballing it quite a bit--the Stand Golden Wind and its power is a bit hard to follow and to understand, but I'd still have given this episode at least an "A-".
  10. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/fire-force/episode-14/.152667 Rating: 3.5. Yes, it was a shallow episode, but man was it pretty to look at!
  11. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dr-stone/episode-11/.151177 Rating: 3.5⭐. Indeed, it was all about science this week, and of course I loved that the problem of nearsightnedness, which I have always had, was so poorly-understood it was looked at as a fuzzy sickness! Next to the wheel, glass may have been mankind's most useful invention, and this episode did that fact justice!
  12. It feels like all those times Toonami ended at only 3:30 in 2015 and 2016!
  13. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/lupin-the-third-part-5/episode-20/.135789 Grade: "A+"! Wow, that's a GLOWING review if I ever saw one! If you're tired of the one-offs, good news: we're going back to the main story next week!
  14. Pervy comic relief, obviously! And yeah, he'd take willie right to the face!
  15. It's fitting that right before MHA gets 11 PM for Season 4, the last episode gets pseudo-promoted to 3 AM because of DST coming to an end!
  16. He's one of the Big 3, right? Good thing he's not telling Mirio to "get excited!"
  17. Here we go, the final episode of Season 3!! Episode #63 (Season 3, Episode 25): "Unrivaled" Meet a guy who can pass through anything! But he has to strip naked to do it...
  18. I didn't know his first name was Koichi!
  19. Interesting...all episodes of Part 4 were set in Italy except for the 5th-to-last. Guess which episode this one is...
  20. This is the weirdest case of copycat psychosis I have ever seen!
  21. Aww, damn, Lupin, you DON'T want to fuck with the Russian Mob. It's how your entire country ends up controlled by a puppet leader! Also--IT'S MAFIOZA NIGHT ON TOONAMI!!!
  22. Oh dang, Lupin, you don't want to F**K with the Russian Mob!
  23. I'm actually gonna stare right at most of the OP this week...
