  1. REINDEER BEAVIS THE ORIGINAL NEZUKO!!
  2. One-Punch Man reruns seem likely somehow. Weird that we're getting the TPN rerun in January-March when Season 2 isn't even coming out until October...
  3. SEASON 2 MARATHON!!! EPISODES 13-22 11 PM-4 AM 12/21-22 SAITAMA CLAUS IS GIVING YOU FIVE SOLID HOURS OF HARD-HITTING ACTION [with a healthy dose of social commentary] ONLY TOONAMI!!!
  4. Yeah, I don't get the switcheroo between Dr. Stone and One Punch Man either. It will have the effect of Season 2 undergoing the same fate as its predecessor, just half an hour earlier. Still, if they're switching time slots around, it does kind of suck that they're not bailing Demon Slayer out of midblock hell. But maybe it's not time for that yet; maybe that's coming on 1/18? It moving up to Midnight when One Punch Man ends to premiere something else in midblock would kinda make sense, unless War Of Underworld Part 1 is ready to air already. We could also see OPM rerun at 3 AM and 2-3:30 simply move up to 1:30-3 if DS does move to midnight then. Good call to re-air The Promised Neverland though. It also means that just because they're not streaming a show on the app doesn't mean they've lost the rights. Instead, it seems to be a bandwidth issue. That means Mob Psycho 100, Megalobox, and Gundam the Origin are all still fair game for reruns. And though SAO-A Season 1 is also currently not streaming, you can pretty much count on that to change once War of Underworld arrives, and I'd say the same goes for Mob and Megalobox. I would also expect Lupin Parts 4 & 5 to get taken down soon if that's the case.

  6. Maybe it DOES sound like "Milly" without the captions on? But I watched the episode with them, and without fail it was "Lillian!"
  7. Who the hell is "Milly"? Her name is/was "Lillian!"
  8. Maybe I'm wrong, but it actually makes sense to anyone who's taken genetics? It's not that far fetched that a chemical can control a phenotypic manifestation of genes!

Guess that's what UFC PPVs do to the ratings. 😕
  10. Oh, you must have meant the UFC 245 PPV when you said that. The weird thing is I didn't even KNOW UFC had a major PPV match until I watched College GameDay that morning and saw it advertised. And I watch wrestling pretty religiously these days, which is usually loaded with commercials for stuff like that, but I digress... WEIRD ratings report this week to close out premieres in 2019: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-12-14-2019.html Sure, the shows followed each other naturally in terms of total viewers, with only Food Wars tying Fire Force and the rest in the usual steady decline, but in 18-49? Dr. Stone AND FOOD WARS beat One-Punch Man, but Fire Force did not!? Also, Food Wars WON the block hands-down in Adult Swim's classic target demographic Adults 18-34, and both shows around it TRASHED the first three, while MHA TIED with JoJo, and (this is hilarious) Punchy TIED with the Lupin OVA 3.5 HOURS LATER in that demo!!
  11. I started to make this thread, but then realized what was happening, so I backed off. It STILL got floated, LMAO!
  12. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/jojo-bizarre-adventure-golden-wind/episode-7/.139643 Grades: "First 7 minutes A+++; rest B+". I'm averaging that out to an "A". Just reading the explanation I was like "huh?" I HAVE seen this episode, but I don't remember it being that much of a standout UNTIL the dance breakout!
  13. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/demon-slayer-kimetsu-no-yaiba/episode-9/.147407 Rating: 4.5⭐. Absolutely fantastic episode, and by far the most action we had all night! Hell, I'd say it, the action scenes in Fire Force, and One-Punch Man were the highlights of the night in terms of pure adrenaline! Man, I forgot the Spider Demon Lady with the Bad Temari Balls from Hades is still alive for next year!
  14. Yeah, I guess so. Bandages were prevalent in both MHA and OPM. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/food-wars-shokugeki-no-soma/episode-22/.92554 Grade: "B". I thought it was a good episode, even if there HAS been a striking lack of Soma lately, but I'm sure we'll see him next wee...uhh, year!! More specifically, since he DID come back at the end of the episode in the post-credits scene, I believe the last 2 episodes in the season will focus on Group A. I also can't really fault Toonami for dividing it like this.
  15. What little I've seen at my old Anime club was subtitled, but that show is QUALITY!!! Like, THEATRICAL quality. It would be a worthy addition to Toonami for over a year! That said, I'm not sure I want it at 3:30 AM...
  16. I'm sure it will be at the 12th episode or so before its winter break. There ARE 2 weeks left in December, after all!
  17. These days, I've been trying to watch the first 4 shows of the night even if I'm out and about also watching live music. I just usually do it with the sound off. That said, this week I only saw the last part of OPM then, but the first part, which I just saw, WAS quite funny! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/one-punch-man-season-2/episode-10/.148099 Rating: 2.5☆!? I'll admit the thinly-veiled racism with Blackluster was a bit annoying, even if it is a semi-positive stereotype that Blacks are really strong, but I'd think that final scene with Garou would have raised it to a 3 at least... Well, only 2 episodes left in this season (series?), but first we've got the catch-up marathon next week!
  18. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-69/.153634 Rating: 4⭐. Great episode and great way to end 2019's offerings of Season 4!
  19. YOU SUCK! I'll probably watch the New Year's Dr. Stone Marathon, but not the Christmas Punchy-thon. I may overwrite my current recordings with it however if the weather is fair.
  20. IT WAS SOUTHERN ACCENTS NIGHT TONIGHT ON TOONAMI!!!
  21. That second half was just straight-up blue balls to the wall action! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/fire-force/episode-19/.153853 Rating: 4. Also, whomever cut that scene in episode 3 has totally redeemed themselves! I guess this time it actually played a role in the battle though!
  22. My guess is that she lived a nice happy life with her 5 companions, mothered many children, and died of natural causes some 5700 years ago... ...once the shock of being one of only 5 people left on Earth that weren't turned to stone wore off, of course. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dr-stone/episode-14-15-16/.152550 Ratings: 3.5, 4.5, and 3. Yeah, I'll admit that of the most recent batch of 3, the middle episode last week was probably the best!
  23. What the heck is even going on in this thing!?
