  1. Current infrequent drinker. Last beer I had was a Guinness.
  2. As for the Iron Maiden song, you're welcome, man. *high fives*
  3. Mulligatawny soup, eh? I've never heard of that.
  4. Barbecue-seasoned chicken leg quarters.
  5. Fair enough. My point was a lot of sitcoms nowadays, animated and live-action, have a lot of irreverent humor and in-jokes. Community is a perfect example of that.
  6. Didn't they do that already with Lower Decks? lol
  7. I think ol' Gene would see the humor in that. Remember, he created Star Trek in the mid-'60s, pretty much when the "counterculture" was starting to come to the forefront of pop culture. Heck, one of the episodes of the show actually has Charles Napier (yes, THAT Charles Napier) playing a string instrument singing "Yeah, brother" as a plot point of sorts. I think he'd find it laugh worthy.
  8. Well, she is from Houston and we have some awesome food down here. lol I really need to get back on a regular sleep schedule if I'm going to try to go back to work by the end of the year.
  9. You're welcome, man. (Also, I don't know if you're a fan of Iron Maiden, but they have a song that I think fits here, because of the title, which is "Flight of Icarus" so make of it what you will, friend.)
  10. Happy Birthday, man!
  11. For the record, y'all are talking about Megan Thee Stallion, right? (Not that it's any of my business. lol)
  12. And that's game! Patrick Mahomes' Opening Game unbeaten streak has been broken. FINAL SCORE: Detroit Lions - 21 KANSAS CITY - 20
  13. Wow. Much head desk. Very face palm.
  14. I didn't realize how much Travis Kelce meant to the Chiefs offense. (I mean I knew he meant a lot, but not THIS much.)
  15. That's right. My bad.
  16. Would downtown Atlanta have some? I know Houston in general has a lot of diverse food options.
  17. Sure, but they're hanging with the defending champs so far. Edit: And as soon as I said that, Kansas City scores a touchdown. lulz (as in lulz to me)
  18. I realize it's Week 1, but no matter what happens the rest of the game, the Lions converting on 4th down from inside their own 20 yard line shows that they're here to make some noise in the NFL.
  19. Same, except the meat/protein was chicken.
  20. See, I like sushi as well, but I'd rather have it once in a blue moon. I fear if I eat it every single day, I'd get burned out on it.
  21. I've seen better days, but it's still been pretty good.
  22. Well then... lol
  23. You're welcome. And I don't know if other people are like this, but I try to be encouraging at all times, even when I have my own stuff to work through. And I'm that way because I realized that my life experience is different from everybody else's. At the same time, similar experiences do help inform how we communicate with each other. So if someone (me, for exampe) sees that you're going through something they either are going through as well or have already gone through, they can say "this is what I did (or what I'm doing) to get through it". I admit that the advice I give may not always work because there is a myriad of answers to any one problem. You just have to find what works for you. In other words, get as many perspectives from as many people as possible and pick what you think is best for you. (Again, that's also meant for me, too.) *friendly hug*
  24. I’m right there with ya, man. *does Snoopy happy dance*
