Nope. Never been married, no kids. Very few people on the internet know anything about my life, and those that do know a select amount of details.

You thought I had kids? Weird. Yeah, of course. I mean I'd probably prefer adopting older kids anyways - I can't see myself committing to 18 years of responsibility.

Preventing myself from ever having them. I strongly dislike the idea of ever having kids, and if the desire so arose I think the socially responsible thing to do would be adoption anyways.

The primary reason the notifications end up in your spam folder is because they come from this server instead of a well known mailserver. Most of the time when random emails start coming from some server from nowhere, it's spam. That being said, if the majority of you hit "not spam" on the notifications that end up in your spam folder, within a couple weeks most of the major email clients will figure out our server is trustworthy.

I have no idea. I would expect him to link to his own forum or something.

Just wait a couple years. Tumblr is a profit sink, so Verizon will sell it off just like Yahoo did and just like Karp did to yahoo before that.

Also the server going down had nothing to do with Viper, just coincidence. This particular issue was caused by MySQL being unable to allocate any additional RAM for database requests. Something running on the server has a memory leak or isn't killing off child processes so the available RAM shrinks over time until I reboot the whole thing. Gotta find out what that is.

I didn't get a dedicated server just for this place. I have a little under 20 different VPS servers from a couple hosting companies and it's getting to the point where their monthly bills would be the same as colocating my own bare metal. The only reason I didn't get it set up yet is the datacenter wanted a large deposit I wasn't prepared for.

HTML doesn't work here (or most places) for good reason. If you recall, I and many others abused the living hell out of it to do malicious and annoying things constantly. It's frankly, a large security risk. When we make the switch to IPB next month, we should have some better formatting options though.

Everyone will have to create a new account on your forum. You are not using backup data from my server. 1). That's a felony. 2). You do not take things from me. Obviously I'd never get you in legal trouble but I will have your forum removed by your host if you steal data from here. If you have already made a backup, I suggest you delete it immediately.

I spoke with the IPB sales team today, they already have a process for importing SMF data to IPB, so we're good. The only stuff that wont come over automatically is plugin-based stuff like Quizzes.

Spent a week and a half going through different parts, individual components tested one by one. Turns out AMD released a driver for my video card that causes it to draw too little wattage under load and causes a shutdown. FML
