PhilosipherStoned
Drinking the equivalent of like a 12-30 pack a beer, eating entire pizzas...chain smoking cigarettes. I've set some health goals because I honestly need to get back into the shape I was in my teens. I plan to be done with alcohol by May 11... Probably wouldn't be such a big deal to me but it's become a big writers crutch for me. Anyway I already nuked one post because it turned into one of those big ass blog posts so.. what are a few of you guys bad health habits/choices.. and how do you plan to deal/cope with 'em in the long run? Doom Metal Alchemist
Last summer my doctor diagnosed me as "pre-diabetic." This was a result of me constantly eating a shit ton of pizza, cookies, and pop tarts, and drinking a shit ton of soda. I have since completely cut out poptarts, mostly cut out cookies (just have some when my parents bake them, which isn't all that often) and cut way back on soda and pizza. I also exercised for a bit. My glucose levels are back in the normal range now.
PhilosipherStoned
My grandmother was diabetic, she was the typical oldschool granny that lived her life out just caring for kids gardening and shit though prolly never worked, and of course was always baking the best pies and cookies, so maybe that's why she got it... I;ve heard you are more likely to end up with diabetes if you have parents with it.. One of the reasons I;ve never let myself get obese I guess. Diabetes sucks..I remember she still baked all the sweets and cakes and stuff for the rest of the family, but the only sweets she could eat with out violating doctors orders was her angelsfood cakes... or whatever they are. Still tasted pretty damn good.
molarbear
I go through a can of grizzly a day overindulge on alcohol way too frequently I also eat way too much red meat for someone who's family has a history of heart problems The plus side is I don't drink pop, caffeine, or sugary drinks, I splurge every now and then if I'm at Sonic and get a Cherry Limeade but that's like 3-4 times a year
mthor
You'd think after a cancer scare, I'd have quit smoking, but nooooooo. However, it's got to go. My problem is that I want quitting to be easy.
André Toulon
I eat relatively well.....For a guy who has diabetes pointing both barrels at him from either side of the family, I've managed to avoid it. I quit smoking 3 or so years ago but I replaced it with vaping which isn't really too much better......Yeah, I'm not actually burning leaves and paper laced with chemicals but it still takes it's toll, plus the brand I vape is actually produced by big bacca, so yeah. Probably drinking is the big one, and since I've quit before, I know I need to cut it out forever but I'm in no rush because fuck this spinning ball of dirt. Phillies
Honestly I have alot of clean time now from alcohol and heroin/prescription opiates (despite what you people may think) and never going back. I just have to kick the tail end of a moderate caffeine habit ( which equates to about 2 years of daily coffee drinking ), get through the depression and sluggishness of that and my brain should be OK from substances abuse. After that is gonna be the junk food- been eating like shit lately- tacos, pizzas, Leeks covered in butter, waifu's pussy, etc. Then the fapping- no fapping for 30 days period, end of story. The TV- no anime for 30 days, no fapping to anime 30 days, in fact no TV for 30 days. Then the internet- no message boards for 30 days. No sticking things up my butt either. The exercise- run a mile per day with at least 50 push ups. Then the job situation- well I don't even wanna think about that right now.
André Toulon
Honestly I have alot of clean time now from alcohol and heroin/prescription opiates (despite what you people may think) For the record, I didn't think you really were doing any of those things because you're broke and no one is having a good time with opiates and alcohol with $40 a week
Phillies
For the record, I didn't think you really were doing any of those things because you're broke and no one is having a good time with opiates and alcohol with $40 a week I've been clean clean since 3/19/16. I 've drank on 2 days actually (when my cat died the liquor store was on the way home) and I snorted 1 tiny bag of heroin on 4th of july 2016. So other too much goddamn coffee I have a decent amount of clean time. Never going back.
bnmjy
I recently ballooned up to 275 lbs, my heaviest weight ever. I realized if I didn't change my habits now I will hit 300. So, I'm currently down to 260. My goal is 215 by the end of the year. When I reach that, my next goal will be 185. I've lost weight many times. The hard part is keeping it off. Since I failed many times, I know to be restrictive in my diet, but not too restrictive.
