Can't do much about the taxes, other than call your Congressman and tell them to vote for the tax reform bill. You are making good money now, I would find a good financial planner and develop a strategy.

cus that's a lot of money. i didn't know if it was the smaller one or the bigger one.

It'll probably be even more next time. I'm gonna have at least like 10 more hours this pay period than I did last time I think.

Who needs sleep and personal time away from work amirite

idk i never saw value in working yourself that hard, even for that amount of money. i'd take less pay if it meant i could have a life. i like the work life balance of where i am now. occasionally i'll have after hours work but not very often

I don't like working that much but I don't really have much choice right now :| Hopefully they get some people on third shift so I don't get mandated anymore.

I would take all that mandated time pay and throw it at my student loans. Get rid of those asap, that way if they hire on 3rd shift you won't get crunched by the pay drop.

i mean i get it, i'd keep my mouth shut too if i was making that much. still though i'd burn out after a month or two of that

I'm gonna use some of it to start paying off my loans for sure.

I know a new orientation class just finished and has started working on the houses now, so hopefully it starts to get a little better. Not sure how long I can work doubles this often. I was apparently so tired last night/this morning after working my second double in a row/third in a week that I didn't close the door to my apartment all the way :|

At least I had today off so I can get more sleep and hopefully get back to going in at 10am. 12 hours is so much better than 16.

i think the most i ever did, in a salary or non salary job, was 13 hours when i was working retail. and that was on memorial day and i hated myself after for doing it. maybe i just wasn't built for more than 8 hours :|

why do you like telling people how much money you made/how many hours a week you're working?

Because that's the only thing she can do she can't spend it so minus well talk about it, amrite
