Big respect to them for doing this. It takes a lot to do self reflection and see your show has run its course. Even moreso when dropping it means giving up an established, paying contract. 
 

They are choosing when the show ends rather than getting cancelled after AS beats it to death. 
 

I agree though about AS, this may not have been their biggest show, but it was becoming one of their cornerstones, and the creators just peaced out after agreeing to at least two more seasons. That’s gonna leave a schedule hole down the road.

Feel bad for everyone else who worked on the show that now need new jobs but I can understand they dont wanna burn out
