I was wondering the same thing (salary caps make sense to me. It's the odds and ends like restructurings and guaranteed money vs perfomance bonuses and what all actually counts is where I get lost)

Not really.  I’ve heard he reached out and even insisted that they sign him to the practice squad so they could all see if he had what it takes to start a game, but that’s widely reported.
