Basically the same strategy they pulled with Nimona after Disney dumped that pile.  Save it from the mean corporation and earn good rep when it costs way less than an in-house film.

This is a blessing for Genndy because there is absolutely no way this didn’t bomb in theaters.

“One ticket to the movie about a dogs nutsack please!”

Are words no one wants to utter. A Netflix release allows people to enjoy the film without the shame of physically have gotten into their car, driven somewhere, and paid money to watch a movie about dog balls.

Which is why they would say "One ticket for Fixed, please" instead.

A talking Seth Rogen weenie fucked a hotdog bun with pipefitter lips and it grossed over 140 million out of a 19 million dollar budget.

Fascinating, how many dog testicles were in that movie?

Sure those are the words that are gonna come out of their mouth, but it’s not the words people will hear.

Perhaps we run a survey based on how many of 8 attendees for one screening of Fixed want to fuck dogs and suck the little doggie dicks before they retract back inside the canine stomach.

If I were to dock any points... Korgoth & Primal are the only stuff from Genndy’s catalog that aren’t directly kid adjacent shit.

Therefore, he’s not the most reliable when it comes to vulgar, or even simply lowbrow humor with a +17 rating. Which, naturally would be the pull for whatever this is. But PR also infers he’d want this to come with his signature tone.

The film wouldn’t fail over a dumb sight gag most would chuckle at. It’d bomb because it’s Genndy. And only cartoon nerds care who that is. And films shit-tank all the time because marketing doesn’t exist anymore.

I’m pretty sure Genndy is doing the dog fucking movie because it’s so different from his usual wheelhouse.  Guy hasn’t done a straight comedy show since Dexter’s Lab.

But yeah, Netflix will have a far lower expectation on it.  Even if adult comedy cartoons on there tend to be a coin flip in success.

Can you restrain yourself from talking about dog penis for awhile so we can talk about this?

Animated movies already struggle in the west if they are aimed at adults. That’s why there are so few examples. And the few examples that do exist, such as Sausage Party, are clearly written for room temp IQ stoners in their 20s where the substance on the screen doesn’t matter because of the substance in the bodies of everyone in the audience.

I simply cannot imagine a group of adults actually getting to a theater and settling on watching the animated movie about the dog getting his penis cut off. I don’t know what else is in theaters coming up, but it’s probably better than that.

As a Netflix property, people who have made fellating Genndy their personality can sit through the movie and lie to themselves and everyone else about why Genndy is the best.

Fixing is removal of the balls, not penis.
