I know people thought he should have been punished for Balan Wonderworld, but this is a bit much.

I'm wondering if this will lead to a larger investigation of Square Enix.

He was apparently taking confidential materials related to the new Dragon Quest and giving those to people who owned Square Enix stock so they knew when to buy and when to sell.

The Japanese are utterly anal about Dragon Quest releases.  It's why they're only released on certain days, to avoid issues.

Balan Wonderworld was his fault and the publisher's fault for releasing it.

Wonder if he did it out of spite for their shrinking support on Balan Wonderworld or if he thought developing Balan would be a good chance to steal company information for personal gain
