I know Five Finger Death Punch covered Bad Company, I'm not aware of Nickelback covering them.

It wasn't Bad Company I was thinking of, they actually did a cover of Legs by ZZ Top, that's what the story was from.

Oh god, I don't even like the original. I'm not by any means a Nickelback fan, but the cover has the potential to be better just by nature of (probably) not having stupid 80s synthesizers all over it. Though for all I know they could've wanted to be faithful to the original and put the synths in anyway.

I had an entire thought conversation about how an alien would feel if they only kind of grasped human, and only a little English, and somehow heard the song Legs.

"Why is this special?  Do many Earth females fail to become bipedal? Crawling until their deaths?  This seems very sad."

Most his songs were written by Jim Steinman.  He also wrote songs for Bonnie Tyler (Faster Than The Speed of Night).

That is really unsurprising in that their songs seem so similar now. It's actually funny.

And on Weezer, I was in the car and I said why is the rock station playing Toto. Boo told me it's Weezer and I ranted for like five minutes about how you can't cover someone's song like that, you have to add your own character to it. Congratulations, you're a musician, you played someone else's song. I was never big on Weezer but that cover made me not like them. Proto-hipster horseshit.
