Got up before 2 pm for the first time a long while this morning

for sitting and movement meditation with a group of local BIPOC folks.  

The opportunity to sit and be with myself (basically the entire quarantine) was pretty terrifying - like wow, this body is in a lot of pain and I'm not really doing much about it.  But during a long 10 minute session, I felt more rested and focused.  Still, I'm here distracting though.  

Just thought it'd be nice to share in case people have done something similar or are struggling with being with themselves so intensely during the quarantine/shelter-in-place/corona shit.

Good for you!

I've gotten through it by doing deep dives into memes and playing a metric shit ton of video games. 

Probably not the healthiest option but it's working so far

I still wake up stupid early I just kinda negotiate with myself about taking a nap. Im glad its helping you. I havent really thought much about how Ive survived quarantine because I still had work ... well work was/is crazy busy. I keep thinking about trying yoga for super beginners or something when this over half because I wanna work on my flexibility but also to scope out some booty ... er butts ... expand my social network 

Yes ... thats it ... make new friends

I prefer being by myself. Then again, that's me. I've always been a pretty an introvert. It's nice being around other people from time to time, but meditation is awesome. For me, therapy is either DJing, mixing, or editing music/vocals/voiceovers.
Yoga is also helpful. I like meditation, too. It helps calm the voices. This is my work at the moment.

We really need to have a deeper convo one of these days about music.  I really feel that for music as therapy.  Once I get my stimulus check, I'd like to finally buy some software to make songs and play around.

It takes work. It is literal therapy for me. Music is part of the reason I haven't jumped off of the Seattle Space Needle yet, or gone on a mass killing spree with death by cop.
It's kind of relaxing for me to try and fix up some audio I know is bad. It's like shining up a dirty car.

It's like learning a new language.  Why the space needle?!?!!!!
