I've heard very good things.

There's also a decent hentai based on the game called First ASSembly.

This game just popped up on gamepass for xbox, it's by Square Enix.

It's like a mixture of Galaxian and Dynasty warriors... fun so far.

I love the game, got it on PS4 a couple years ago.

Can't emphasize enough how much I loved it.

I was surprised I havent heard of it, and when they launched it free for gamepass... I read the reviews and I was hooked. The gameplay is just fantastic... I dont get bored at all because of the constant change in style.

I've been thinking this will probably be the next game I get.

It's really good. Lot of replay value.

It’s a great game. The story and music took me by surprise with how impactful it all was.

I was grinding today and I stopped to appreciate the music.

EDIT: Wait... can you get banned for linking to porn sites?

Nah I'm not gonna take that risk.

You have the title, that's all you need.

In the event that you have managed to avoid spoiling yourself, I might keep an eye on this thread as you approach the end.

I've heard good things, maybe I'll get it eventually, but, I have also spoiled the big twist already.

I finally played/finished this game (and remastered prequel), and... not sure I get the hype. Is a bit of existentialism all it takes to get kids excited these days?

why you gotta be such a hater man. it's a great game. you just don't understand it.

Then enlighten me, because I'm really trying to find a little bit more to it beyond simply "what does it mean to live?"

Do you not like android girls?

That aside, I will concede, I did really like the music. I don't think I've enjoyed a game soundtrack that much since probably FFX.

But, not really a fan of the "make half a game and stretch it out by forcing players to run it twice or more" formula.

The 3rd act makes the game more so than the first two, with the end of Yorha stuff.

The big twist being that the weapons purpose-built to wage war would have no purpose when the war is over? Eh.

I felt the game lacked sufficient character development. You go from "machines are the enemy" to "I guess some of them are ok" with literally no in-between. Does an awful job of establishing that tolerance. Story plays it a bit loose with "dying is fine, we've got backups" and "no don't die you'll lose who you are right now."

The moon server twist wasn't as much of a shock after playing Replicant. And, in general, the whole point of everything was simply as an examination of "why are we here?" I get it. The existentialism isn't bad. It's fun to dwell on once in a while I suppose. Just, personal opinion, not something worth of all the praise heaped on it. But, maybe that's just cuz I had my fill of all deep thinking back in my 20s.

The "why are we here?" element felt pretty hollow to me. Like it asks some existential questions and uses "there is no meaning" as a diversion from needing to elaborate.
