DangerMouse Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Getting Ray on board. There's Emma's goal to take everyone. 1

OwlChemist81 Posted January 12, 2020 Author Posted January 12, 2020 Knowing who Ray is from the beginning, watching this show makes for a very different show! 1
DangerMouse Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Yup, not afraid of her own death, afraid of everyone else's death. 2
AnimationFan14 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) Little did we know that Ray was not only in on it all for years before Connie, but that he was Mother's very own son Edited January 12, 2020 by AnimationFan14 2
AnimationFan14 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Now I can actually say Ray's "acting" here is really amazing 3
DangerMouse Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Damn he kinda will too. And then get taken, though we still haven't seen the rest of what happened to him.
ben0119 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Man, I didnt remember that Crona came in so fast. 1
OwlChemist81 Posted January 12, 2020 Author Posted January 12, 2020 I can hardly wait until Season 2! 1
DangerMouse Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) The crazy one has arrived. Mom with that gloating face, but doesn't realize Crona's also aiming to replace her. Edited January 12, 2020 by DangerMouse 2
ben0119 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 (edited) I really wish season 2 was coming sooner. I want to know what happened to Norman. I'm almost sure he didn't die, but I still want to see it. But since Toonami is replaying this, it makes practically guaranteed they will air season 2 as well. Edited January 12, 2020 by ben0119 2

ben0119 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 And, The Promised Neverland manga started right as Bleach was winding down, so it's been going for a while. Since 2016, and it started on August 1st back then apparently. So there should be PLENTY of material to adapt. I guess just 12 episodes were done for the first season to make sure it would be successful.

DangerMouse Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 (edited) Isabella already trying to assert dominance on the new one. Damn Crona Edited January 19, 2020 by DangerMouse
OwlChemist81 Posted January 19, 2020 Author Posted January 19, 2020 Yep. And now this transmission, and the mysterious Tefari! Demon HQ!!!
ben0119 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Apparently some folks were not a big fan of Krone's portrayal when she was first introduced in the manga. At least she seems better done in the anime, though. The art in the manga seemed kind of rough and weird compared to this anyway. https://www.jacksonpbrown.com/blog/2018/8/2/thoughts-on-the-promised-neverland-and-black-women-in-manga And I appreciate the compliment to Kubo, lady. 1 1
ben0119 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Krone trying to kiss ass lol. So there are procedures for if kids find out the secret. Lol this crazy singing plotting monologue. Oh there's the new kid. She actually looks like a baby Emma... 2
ben0119 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Krone trying to be all nicey nice with the kids and coming off creepier lmao. Demon council of sorts perhaps, but even these guys don't get to eat as well as "The One." Hmm. 1

It's definitely a stretch that Krone in the manga was inspired by racist caricatures of Black people, but that might have been the case. She does feel more like a Boondocks character in the anime though.
ben0119 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Norman's horn-shaped cowlick bugs the hell out of me. Emma also has a stalk of hair on top of her head and two in the back. A lot of the kids have weird hair stuff going on. Not sure if they symbolize anything. 1

It could be an unfortunate coincidence with how weird and over the top the manga art is. I've seen some other shots of characters looking really weird and inhuman in the manga. Isabela looks really weird in some shots. I'll have to go chapter by chapter though and not time for that now. I could get spoilers if I google for random pics. But yeah she looks better in the anime. Edited January 19, 2020 by ben0119
ben0119 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Krone is an Olympian. x_x And she exploded the tree?! 1
ben0119 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 A spy... and we keep seeing that "voyeur" camera... 1

AnimationFan14 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 The thought of every adopted child being deceased would be unimaginable 1
ben0119 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 If Ray was the spy all along then what was what voyeur cam all about? 1
