Fuck no. I haven’t had the shot in 16 years, nor have I had the flu in 16 years.

It pays to have an overactive immune system.

I haven’t in 28 years if not more....my 1st cat was still alive and nurseD me back to health but you have to understand that people your age died from it a couple of years ago.  Just get the free shot.

Nope. Not dealing with it making me sick. Not dealing with the pain of the wound, my whole body hurting for 3 days, etc. I have all the shots I need.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

also 28 years? Holy shit you’re old

Well u had no idea I was old so there.

but if yer immune system is that good it won’t bother u much...at least not nearly as bad as dying would

It's an inactive virus.  It's possible to exhibit symptoms of a cold after a flu shot, as well as soreness in the arm or swelling at the injection site.  These are things that are incredibly more manageable than being a carrier for a disease that can get others sick even if you don't get sick yourself.

Don't be a carrier.  Get the flu shot.

There's a 20% chance of that, so no thanks.

This could be the case with any common disease, including those that do not have a vaccine.  Proper etiquette (covering mouth with upper arm when coughing, washing hands thoroughly whenever touching any body fluids or membranes, not going in public when exhibiting symptoms of illness) does more for preventing the spread of disease than a vaccine.

I'm big on face-in-elbow and hand sanitizer galore for when I can't wash my hands.

Got mine already.

The flu shot soreness does linger for a while, but by far the most painful needle I've gotten was to draw blood for getting blood work done. The nurse or whatever laughed at me for writhing and groaning in so much pain.

Allergy shots on the other hand are cake. Anyone with serious allergies they can't seem to shake I highly recommend getting allergy shots.

Can't imagine what Athena's been through with friggin spinal taps.
