The pain!

I see a chiropractor once a month.  Keeps me upright & mostly pain-free.  This rib thing though...

I did find out (surprisingly) that aspercream with lidocaine has actually done a pretty good job dulling the pain enough to get some sleep.  Magnesium Salicylate (Doan's Pills, Backaid) made my head feel like it would explode & my ears were ringing like I'd sat in front of the amps for "The Who - Live at Leeds".

Yeah, I'm finally losing my core... I guess it's time to rebuild it. Got 20 years from the last one!

Just to be clear. You worked out, got a strong core, then didn't work out again for twenty years? o.O

Look, it's all very complex. Alcohol was involved, several midgets, a kilo of heroin, it's just hard to explain.

But for the last 10 years, yeah kinda. But this question made me punch my gut and I can still handle a solid body blow.

Hot soak is better than a hot shower if you can manage that instead [ let's the heat really get into the muscles ] .

Something like Icy Hot or Dakota Muscle Relief before bed can help. Although I'd suggest maybe a heating pad on low and sleeping directly on the floor for a bit to reset your back that way.
