I gave up on Tenchi after I hated the 3rd OVA, so no doubt I'll skip this one unless people say really good things about it.  It sucks, too, since the OVA continuity was my favorite continuity in Tenchi.

Sadly this tends to be a common Japanese anime writing trait. No matter how weird the original work is, they feel the need to constantly one up themselves to the point of complete incomprehensible insanity.

No, to understand this series, you apparently need to have read novels from the original writers (including one that’s supposed to be his version of GXP) as well as numerous unlicensed doujins.  You want to know what happens when Mihoshi lets her hair down, since that apparently restores her original memories?  Only explained in the doujunishi.

It is as incomprehensible as American comics can be.

Seriously?  And here I only thought Tenchi Muyo was mildly more confusing than Kingdom Hearts.  I stand corrected.  At least they collected basically all of Kingdom Hearts into one game set.

I actually really liked Urotsukidoji.  It's like porn with plot, only I actually watched it for the plot.  I even have some songs from the OVA on my phone, I thought they were that good.

On the topic of hentais, the only ones I've seen are Cool Devices episodes 1 and 10, and all of Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita.

I'd have watched Mezzo Forte, to make the experience of watching Mezzo DSA episode 5 before it a little less awkward, but I couldn't find the non-hentai version online, so it's still off my list.
