garbagepailcat Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 it’s apparently sunbathing. I’ve never seen a bird do this before, but this little guy comes and basks on the porch rail every day. So cute. So tiny. So flat yet so fluffy. 4
Poof Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 (edited) is it like nesting in the crack? Edited July 3, 2019 by Poof
Azalar Hex Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 It looks like it got slammed anime style into the rail by another bird. 1

We have a pond at the bottom of the hill though, so I assume it takes little bird baths down there. This rail sits in the sun all day, so the little thing just likes getting warm and airing it’s feathers out. It’s adorable. 1

I used to think it was some sort of sign, like they were my spirit raptor, but now I think we just have a lot of hawks around here. I know they fish sometimes. Maybe your hawk friend was just embarrassed that he/she missed the catch.
