Age of S'jet Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 My power supply kept shorting out. Made sense when I saw the amount of dust blow out of it. It's a good thing I dropped 350 on a psu alone, thing would prob be dead now. Literally pounds of dust.

PhilosipherStoned Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 (edited) What size air compressor is safe for a tower pc? I havent used many, but I want an air compressor to blow out my pc because air duster is too expensive, and freezes up way too fast to be practical. Edited April 27, 2019 by PhilosipherStoned

It was like his full setup for his garage that he works out of. idk. it was a big boy, needed time to pressurize, some kind of vapor remover. idk. it was like 4 and a half feet tall 1
PhilosipherStoned Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) I guess you had it set to a low pressure output.. I would worry about damaging my fans, and components with a heavy duty air compressor.. Edited April 30, 2019 by PhilosipherStoned
scoobdog Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Did you use a condensate trap? Your comp is doomed.
Skiles Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 That's why I bathe my computer at least once a week.

Oh no, I read it. That's how I got to Scoob's reply. Also, compressors of that size still will create condensation in the lines past any type of condensate trap or filter/drier. 1

Condensate traps are for tools, not electronics. They don't, contrary to what you might think, eliminate all condensate. That's why most times, industrial air compressors used for sensitive or precise applications use air dryers. 1
wacky1980 Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 you know what works just as good as canned air, but doesn't cost you one red cent to use? the can of canned air you stole from your work. 1
lupin_bebop Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 You know......you could've just used a can of compressed air, a towel, and some elbow grease......all free.
