Overlord's not really a straight parody, it's not like foremost a comedy. But it has undeniable satirical elements against the tropes found in Overlord's peers. For instance, the whole concept of Ains having a harem of females (which are intentionally overly aggressive to point out the ridiculousness of the idea in the first place) and is also a skeletal undead which physically is incapable of arousal is a prime example. There are other examples, but I think you understand what I mean.
panic
"The hero died when he was thrown off his pizza delivery bike. When he's about to be reborn into a new world, the goddess tasked with his reincarnation lets him choose between three options: he can be heroic swordsman, a wizard, or hero that saves the world with pizza. He takes so long to decide that the first two options are taken by other people and he's stuck with the third. He's reborn in an elf country as the "high-calorie hero." Equipped only with the power of pizza, he hires the appetite demon lord's daughter Liria to help him run the pizza parlor." Pizza boy and 'Liria' huh. The1gairon
Exactly what is it parodying? If your answer is "isekai", then that's not a parody, it's a deconstruction of a genre. I suppose I only call something a parody if it's parodying a specific title, rather than a genre. Also, the show soon goes on to shed some of its initial comedic tones and becomes a beast unto itself, developed and deep in its own world-building and drama. Fry does go to a new world, but it's the same world in the same reality 1,000 years in the future. He doesn't go to an alternate dimension. Daos
Overlord is not a parody at all. It has humorous moments now and then. But it takes its worldbuilding very seriously. Konosuba is a parody. One Punch Man is a parody. Usually if something is a parody it's pretty obvious =P

Parody has become a broad term. In my view it's more of a satire, as I see parody as an exaggeration of another series. This is usually done with spinoff series like the chibi Rock Lee and Attack on Titan shows. Satire just takes elements from a genre and flips them. Like how 99% of Isakai are about stopping the demon lord, in this Ainz is the Demon lord.
