Demarco seems to have a massive ego. People with massive egos do stuff like this all the time. Basically he let this quote go to his head.

"Jason DeMarco has quietly become one of the music industry’s most influential tastemakers"

What I REALLY hate about them is how they frequently fuck up the block's start and end times.  I DVR the block every week, and I don't always watch shows in the order they air, since there's a few long-runners I'm a bit further behind on.  So what'll happen is I'll go to watch an episode, and sometimes it'll get cut off a minute or two before it ends, or I'll have the last minute or so of another show tacked onto the front of it.  Hell, I wound up getting spoiled on one of the biggest events of IBO season 2 because I played another show and saw someone get shot almost immediately.  I was more than a little pissed.

ANYONE, not just Adult Swim, telling you that what it's advertising is "your favorite" is fuckin condescending and insulting to my intelligence, but no I am not tired of it. We need more varied, indie animation on cable, as well as indie musician exposure too!

Also, you could argue that EVERYTHING Adult Swim airs doesn't match at all with everything else. What I like is that Adult Swim doesn't have its own house style or tone, which is like the only block on cable right now that takes risks.

But then they solve it by cleverly spacing out the programming after that so it eventually DOES go back to the regular programming. THey wouldn't air these music videos if they knew it wouldn't work.  THat's their job to make it work.

Eh, doesn't bother me as much as Cartoon Network trying to force me to like Teen Titans GO! more than Gotham.

This is why they should pick up Gundam Thunderbolt--since each episode is only 18 minutes long, they'd actually have space for long-ass videos during the show.

But I assume the video was during Shippuden this week? It doesn't seem to mess things up THAT badly though. The worst was that Sand Whale & Me weirdness which bumped every show up 5 minutes.

This is the part where I'd ask you to stop projecting your fetish for this show, but instead, I'm going to reflect on what a huge fucking asshole I am for thinking that.

I'm the same way, except using uBlock Origin.

Anyway, I don't think the pinned tweet's article is an exaggeration. People seem to think that way because they don't listen to the music [as] specializes in, but to name a really big example, Run the Jewels wouldn't have become a thing if it weren't for Jason lending a commercial hand to both of its key artists. There's also the whole concept of offering free tracks to get people introduced to a band they might like, either through the Adult Swim Singles program or older compilations like Ghostly Swim. Those have probably worked for a lot in both camps.
