Had to get gas three times in the past few days

SO MUCH FUN

I guess part if it is my fault I need to plan my days better so I'm not going from the far west side of town to far east and then back to far west. But sometimes shit just comes up or one client cancels but then another one calls me asking for help with something.

I'm so glad the gas i use for work is paid for by my company. And the mileage isn't gong on my personal car.

The company truck only has 2k miles on it. I'm gonna beat that in a month. If that.

In my field it's super rare to get a company car. I know that case workers for the VA do but I've never heard of any other agency that does that.

Indeed. Will probably be between 400-500 by the end of the month. I have like $250 coming in soon from July's mileage.

Sounds pretty much like another type of overtime in a way.

I mean I am putting a shit ton of miles on my car. I get reimbursed way more than I pay in gas but there's still other maintenance stuff to consider.

Now there are other bonuses I can get. Starting in late September I'll be on call every 6 weeks or so and that's like an extra $300 I'll get just for being on call, plus overtime for if I get a call outside of business hours. Then we have productivity standards (which refers to what percent of the time we're actually with clients providing billable services). Minimum is 52% but then there are 2 levels of bonus you can hit.

oh shit, as long as working that much doesn't bother you.

Nah I like staying busy. Plus the bonus levels really don't make that huge of a difference in how much work you're doing. Minimum is 52% which works out to about 20.8 hours a week. I think the 2nd level bonus (which is like $600) is 62% which is only like 4 extra hours a week. It's hard to maintain that average for a whole month but more due to the nature of the job (people cancel, no-show, etc.) rather than it being too much work.

On call we just have to talk on the phone (I work with clients with severe mental illness so sometimes they do have crises. Our agency has a dedicated crisis line but my clients are a bit more intense so we have our own dedicated line. For the most part they just want to talk and can be de-escalated verbally but if it is a real emergency we just call an ambulance). Here's more info on what I do exactly for anyone interested <_<

I remember a story a few years ago where someone was complaining about a similiar situation.  They set up a infrared camera and found out someone they knew was siphoning their gas.

Last I remembered you had an Echo or Yaris or whatever xD

I can't own small cars... unless they are hot hatchbacks or something. I need fast. xD

Honda Fit

I don't need speed. Half the time I'm driving through the city anyway and some of those East Cleveland streets are more pothole than road so you'll destroy your car if you go over 20mph.

Hey the West side generally isn't that bad. Euclid Ave starts to look like a war zone once you get far enough east.

My Great Grandfather had a business around there before moving to Illinois.  Google doesn't show much, but it looks kinda meh.

I mean I've been through that area and it's not the best but there are parts of East Cleveland where there are literally more buildings that are abandoned than there are buildings with people actually living in them. And some of the ones that are abandoned are literally falling apart like a bomb went off or are just empty shells that no one bothered to tear down. And even the buildings that aren't abandoned are run down.

There are good and and bad parts on both sides of town but the bad parts on the east side are way worse than the bad parts on the west.

The Flats is weird because they build these luxury apartments like right in the middle but then it's surrounded by slums.

Pretty much

But if you go too fast through East Cleveland you'll fuck up your car.

If you ever go on the Good Time, they take you around there (if I'm remembering correctly) and among all the warehouse properties and whatnot is this little section of land, with a nicely groomed lawn and a very old but well upkept mobile home on it... They are sitting on a gold mine and probably are too stubborn to realize it xD

and instead of repaving the roads here they just dump some asphalt on the rough spots and it becomes a pothole or divot again in six months.

They don't even bother to dump asphalt they just let the potholes wear down until you see the brick underneath. And they don't bother repainting the lines on the road like ever.

You weathered the Leaveland debacle once. You can do it again.

Can we though?

Also, I just rewatched those videos and it's amazing how true they still are after 10 years. Also this less popular video from the same channel that only people from Cleveland will really get...<_<
