Meilag32 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Episode 157: "Earth Destroyed! The Initial Buu's Nefarious Strike!" https://youtu.be/NCnkiHmn6gc No flaming, hating, trolling, spamming, etc. 1 1
MasqueradeOverture Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 (edited) I found the reason why I liked the episodes in Buu's body this time around and not as a kid: The original version of it put TWO FUCKING FILLER EPISODES of Goku & Vegeta dicking around in the intestines, followed by another filler episode of them fighting shadow versions of Gohan, the kids, and Piccolo before finally reaching the absorbed pods. It took less than 5 minutes to get to the pods in Kai. Edited April 7, 2018 by MasqueradeOverture 2
Daos Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Do you remember the amount of time spent flying to Babidi's spaceship in the original? It must have been 5 episodes for all the different characters combined. Everything in the original version took forever. If Goku needed to take a leak it would have taken at least 3 episodes for him to finish. 1 1
Roymustang1990 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) Massive plot development incoming. the best thing that to ever happen in the entire buu saga beside the rematch of go k u vs vegeta, gok u powering to ssj3 for the first time, and vegetto Edited April 8, 2018 by Roymustang1990 1
mochi Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Incidentally some stuff happens in this arc that arguably sets the tone for super namely Vegeta flat out declaring he's worthless compared to Goku and Goku offering sexual favors from Bulma to old Kai right in front of Vegeta

Meilag32 Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 Talk about a spoiler right in the episode title. Also lot's of backstory time. 1
The1gairon Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 ... I kinda want to see THIS story told in the show proper!
Gyaos Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Pretty much, Buu was busting skulls across the entire fucking universe at one point.
mochi Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 can we just address what a fucking WRETCHED Job this universe's gods do at stopping horrible disasters? 3
The1gairon Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Oh look. A competent female fighter in DBZ Kai The Final Chapter. 2
Meilag32 Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 We briefly saw this bulky Buu when Buu was retrogressing. 1
Gyaos Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Back when Toriyama could world-build in a way that made sense. 1
DangerMouse Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Ice cream cake Gotta say it is pretty great tho! 2
Roymustang1990 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 man that absorption move is op. I bet bu u can use on b eer us or any villain in super and buu would win
Meilag32 Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 So Buu absorbed Grand Supreme Kai thinking would make him stronger but in fact it weakened him and unfocused his killing intent. 1

Gyaos Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 He's giving you a fair fight, alright. His power against yours. 1

Meilag32 Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 Kid Buu doesn't care about fair fights. He simply wants to destroy... to kill. 1

Gyaos Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 This episode honestly made it feel like this was a TRUE finale for Dragon Ball Z back in the day. 1 1

mochi Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Vegeta has a point you know, he left behind Vegeta's whole family but saved Mr. Satan and a dog for some reason 1

It made me believe everything was coming to an end. Earth was supposed to be in one piece, but it wasn't when Kid Buu came along. Edited April 8, 2018 by Gyaos 1 1
The1gairon Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 I wonder if anyone made a Countdown/Scavengers thread?

But yeah, we saw Frieza blow up both Planet Vegeta and Planet Namek.
ben0119 Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 So is Buu more dangerous now because he's a mindless monster with no restraint, or is he stronger too? Because why would Buu absorb people if it made him weaker? And obviously the previous Buu got stronger by absorption. In this script, it doesn't actually sound like Buu is stronger, but simply more dangerous and unpredictable.

He seemed equally devastated over the loss of his son. It's like the only time in the series. But Dende being alive means the Dragon Balls can come back. Maybe Goku was thinking that. Or he was trying to save everyone. 1
